Is it better to doubt your ability to believe or not to believe at all?

From a spiritual/saved point of view, is it worse to not believe at all or to have a crisis of faith?

  1. It’s less stress not believing. I have no reason to doubt my ability to believe… I simply just don’t believe.

  2. True spirituality is the direct experience of the divine, so with the real thing there can be no doubt. The idea of believing in what you are taught in sermons is not spiritual.
The idea of “ability to believe” is coming from the pulpit that has lost its way.
They are preaching a gospel of blood for sin that Jesus himself did not preach. This http://gospelenigma.com will explain the Kingdom Gospel which brings the direct experience of God, and thus can bring a genuine basis for real faith.

  3. You faith will be tested:
    I Jn 5:4-5
4For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world– our faith.
5Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
    Jesus speaking:
    John 16:33
33″These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
Don’t give up man, it’s all worth it, the abundant life can be lived in this life, and surely the next, but in order to live it you must completely surrender to God. He loves you and wants what is best for you, His ways are better. You can trust in His perfect love.

  4. It is no sin to remain skeptical. A skeptic is not a disbeliever, he is a person who doesn’t know, but has an open mind and will accept facts if and when presented that would lead to belief or disbelief. Another word for Skeptic is Agnostic. Agnostic is not to be confused with Atheistic; and atheist does not believe, an agnostic does not know, and does not know if he/she can know (the Divine Mysteries).
Perhaps, if God wanted us to have absolute knowledge of Him, He would not have kept Himself hidden from us. Or, perhaps we can see Him everywhere, manifest in everything; every life form may be a manifestation of the divine. Perhaps all we have to do to believe is to look in the mirror and consider the awesomeness of existence.
Robin Williams once said, “Reality; what a concept!”
