Is it advisable to continue practising yoga when one is trying for a baby?

I practice yoga plus 1 hours of cardio exercise 4 days a week. Someone told me that it is not advisable to practice yoga if I am trying out for a baby.

  1. Yes, it is okay. If you are used to exercising it is great to continue even while pregnant, with doctor or midwife consent. It is better to be in good shape than not.

It’s fine, but you might consider learning pregnancy yoga, there are great dvds and videos available… then you’re already in the habit… even if you’re just trying to conceive, it’s a good idea to get a doctor’s appt. to make sure you’re all ready, that would be a great place to ask questions about what you should & shouldn’t be doing… good luck~
