Is healing yourself a part of your spiritual journey?

“If we really love ourselves, everything in our life works.”
~Louise Hay

  1. getting in touch with yourself is the key. Healing may arise from that, but not to expect it. Healing can be on many levels, but for a spiritual journey it is nice to gently nudge the ego out of thinking it has to control or manifest evidence of success.

  2. I think so. I am in the process of trying to do just that right now. To rid of past hurt and anger..betrayals…we all have something to heal from…and when we learn to truly let it go..to forgive..to look at all the good…I think we become lighter…more open to good things to come our way…and healthier.

  3. It is essential. How can we heal others if we don’t or can’t heal ourselves? We heal ourselves and others as we learn. Too many times, most of us camp out at our problems instead of continuing on our path of healing and enlightenment. The reason these problems come along is to further us on our path, to fix our problems. We can’t heal what we don’t know is broken. See a problem? Don’t camp out. Deal with it and heal it and never miss a step on your path.

  4. At some point we realize that everything is our spiritual journey. To categorize what shows up as spiritual or not is just another illusion we create.

  5. Yes it is. Great video, thanks. Years ago I saw that someone else dying for me could not work, and so began my own journey of healing myself. : )

  6. I love Louise Hay!
    I think healing ourselves is really part of our spiritual journey, for sure. Jesus said that with a little bit of faith we can just do everything. He also said that we should love our neighbors just like we LOVE OURSELVES. Therefore, we are supposed to love ourselves and do wonders with that love.

  7. 1Cr 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
    1Cr 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are. 1Cr 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
    2Cr 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with ie: sickness? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
    Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
    Mat 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
    Mat 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
    1Cr 12:9 & To another is given faith, by the same Spirit; & to another, the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
    Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;
    Isa 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
    Jer 30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, [saying], This [is] Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
    Jer 33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
    Deuteronomy 32:39 “See now that I, [even] I, [am] He, and [there is] no god other than me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither [is there any] that can deliver out of my hand.
    Isaiah 43:11 I, [even] I, [am] the LORD; and beside me [there is] no saviour….
    Therefore; based on these Promises from The Word of The Only Almighty True & living God of all that is and is not, known & unknown, i would discern it safe to say YES, healing is a part of our spiritual journey…, & 3John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” jah love; sincerely yrs.

  8. I use to think so . But really spirituality means how to love God. He can do all the healing. So I have found to focus on loving and pleasing my divine Lord and the healing comes from Him. Their are so my so called ideas of what people think are spiritual. but in actuality there is nothing spiritual about it. Generally these ideas are on the subtle mundane plane or mental platform at best. Loving God (also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama, etc.) and realizing everyone is part and parcel of Him, is Spirituality.
