I’m christian, and i was experementing with astral traveling. When I had done some research on asral traveling, and it concluded results for wicca on google. However, im against wiccas, and i’m afraid i’ve made a mistake towards my religeon. Any answers from an experienced christian would help my situation. Thank you.

If astral travel was against the God, all the saints who have had visions (of Virgin Mary or Jesus) would be in deep, deep trouble 🙂 And what about the Revelation? You cannot have a revelation in a “normal” state of mind, it is necessary to enter a specific state to start see things clearly. Maybe that’s not exactly astral projection but still pretty close. So, don’t worry. If you don’t harm anyone by this practice and if you use it to broaden your horizon, there’s nothing wrong with that, whatever the religion. I am a Wiccan myself but I… Read more »

I agree with pretty much all the answers here. No offense to you or your religion but if christianity finds something wrong with astral projection, than there is something very wrong with the religion itself & not with astral projection or the people that practice it. AP is a natural thing we can all do. It is your right to develop those skills. Anyone can do it if they learn how. There is nothing satanic or evil about it. We all have unconscious projections every time we sleep. AP is a skill that can turn these into conscious projections. There… Read more »

Astral Travel isn’t Wiccan.

Some Wiccans practice Astral Travel, but so do lots of people from other religions.

So why are you against Wiccans? What have they ever done to you?

No. Wicca is a religion. Astral traveling is a practice. Yes, many Wiccans are interested in it (and many aren’t), but so are many non-Wiccans.

This question would be like asking if cooking is considered Wicca. Lots of Wiccans do it, but that doesn’t mean one is actually part of the other.

Astral traveling is nonsense. Wicca is not.

Astral traveling is not owned by any religion, although many Wiccans in particular tend to try it, and that’s why google kept bringing you to Wicca. As far as I know, there is nothing that the Christian faith has to say about Astral projection, negative or positive. If you’re really worried about it, talk to your pastor. I’m sure he can tell you whether it’s a sin. From what I’ve heard, confessing your sins can’t get you in trouble unless you do something really horrible, and there’s no way that astral projection is something that is that horrible even if… Read more »

relax and don’t worry
OBEs are as natural as sleeping or dreaming.
Most people astral project and either don’t remember it or are unaware they are doing it.
It is way more common than imagined.
It is almost a guarantee any dream involving falling or flying or even driving a vehicle are the mind’s way of rationalizing an OBE.
Some people naturally astral project with little effort.
There is nothing witchy about it.
If people on wicca websites claim ownership of astral projection, they are fooling themselves.

“and it concluded results for wicca on google.”
I’m calling ‘Büllshït’ on that one.

“Is astral travelling considered wicca?”
Astral Travelling is not ‘owned’ by any institution-belief system.

“However, im against wiccas”
Well; you’re a xian; what did we expect?
Of course you are against anything outside your blinkered understanding.

One, you didn’t do anything wrong. You had a question and you found an answer to it. Though you might want to Wikipedia it to double check. Two, Wiccans have no direct correlation with your life. You have no reason to be against them just because they don’t follow what you do. You should be ashamed of yourself for being intolerant based on a stereotypical bias. How would you like it if someone did that to you, it wouldn’t feel very good would it? I suggest you take some time to re-examine your feelings and start showing some more kindness… Read more »

Wow, Jordan……what was it like, were you scared? Never happened to me personally but a friend in high school experienced that quite often. Most Christians would believe its happened but would consider it by Satanic influence. I am not comfortable in speaking for everyone this is just what a group of Christians have told me. Personally I’m on the fence but believe anything is possible. (and I am not implying you are satanic AT ALL)

I’m not too sure if an experienced Christian would be able to help you, unless they also have an open mind. Astral traveling is considered a new age practice, and isn’t strictly limited to witchcraft or Wicca. Typically astral traveling is a more harder practice to confidently perform, but it can be done with practice.

how is this scary…..

Wicca is a natural religion, grounded in the earth. All living things (including stars, planets, humans, animals, plants, rocks) are regarded as having a spirit. Many Wiccan rituals deal with bringing harmony and healing to nature. Wiccans tend to share a great concern for the environment

Three-fold Law (a.k.a. the Law of Return) The law states that:
“All good that a person does to another returns three fold in this life; harm is also returned three fold.”

This belief strongly motivates each Wiccan to avoid attempting to dominate, manipulate, control, or harm another person.

It’s not specifically Wicca. The term is connected to New Age beliefs but the meaning could be connected to really any religious epiphany.
