Zander.. I love ‘Z’ names and Zander is a fav!
For a girl.. I love Aurora…
My family and my husband’s family are both very strong believers in honoring ancestors. My eldest daughter is named for my MIL, my younger daughter is named for her aunt. I am named for one of my father’s sisters. My husband is named for his father.
My SIL named her children with the last name of some female ancestors, I think it was her great-grandmother’s maiden name on one side, and her great grand aunt on the other side.
It’s nice when your child asks you, “Why did you name me such-and-such, Mommy?”, you are able to tell them you named them for a certain person from the family. It’s a lot better than, “I asked some total strangers online what names they liked.”, or, “I picked it out of a book.”
