If you have ever taken yoga for a high school class please help?

I just started taking a yoga class at my high school. My teacher told us to read the course outline and it said that within the next 2 months or so, we will be doing advanced yoga poses. I looked it up and some of them are handstands and the splits. There is no way I can do this. Do you think the teacher would take some of the poses out if she thought we couldn’t all do it? I am freaking out. If you took it, what did your teacher make you do?

  1. HEY IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR IT, ITS BECAUSE YOU ARE INTERESTED IN IT. YOGA IS REALLY GOOD AND RELAXING, IT HELPS YOU STAY IN SHAPE AND SHARPENS YOUR FOCUS. YOU JUST GOTTA DO YOUR BEST, IT DOESNT START PERFECT, BUT EVENTUALLY IT WILL GET EASIER FOR YOU.

  2. yoga, it’s not what you think it is. it’s not about that. if you can breath you can do awesome yoga.
    it takes 2monthes before you can really have fun and enjoy it.
    why do yoga? inner peace, happiness, deal with life challenges easily, not get stuck in life,
    get in to it. you’ll be glad you did.

  3. well, i can tell you as much – i am doing Tai Chi with yoga. And i havent met anything i couldnt do yet. And my yoga is more serious than a school class. I hardly doubt that your teacher would make you go split in two months. It is just impossible (unless you are a 5 yearold or an evertraining athlet.).
    Dont you worry, yoga is supposed to be fun, not torturing.
