If I ate God would i die?

Better to just hug a tree 🙁

  1. We’ll begin with the assumption that god exists… and that the Christian religion is true. So…
Christians eat Jesus all the time… and they seem to be ok.
    John 6:
53Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
    And according to http://www.christiananswers.net/kids/ednk-jesusgodorman.html
“Jesus proved that he is God by doing many things that only God could do. These are called miracles. He made dead people alive. He walked across a great lake. He made blind eyes see perfectly again. He healed deadly diseases with a word.”
So Jesus is god, and people eat Jesus, so if you ate Jesus, who is god, you would be fine. In fact, Jesus said that if you *don’t* eat him, you have no life in you (which sounds like dying to me, and a really bad threat and dare rolled into one).

  2. Yes, you would die to your old self and awaken new born in spirit. God is already within us… but sometimes we spit Him out before he can bring about the mighty change.
Why not hug a tree as well? Trees can speak in a language of their own, capable of renewing our souls, as God is.
    Why not embrace them all?

  3. “ate” God??? I have heard many many absurd things on R&S but this one takes the cake for being way over the top! What’s worng with you?
