If bisexuality is wrong according to the religious then how can you explain this?

OK so it has been reported anthropologically across several cultures such as the Sambia of Papua New Guinea and other Melanesian tribes and the scientist Emily V. Driscoll has argued in the 2008 issue of the Scientific American that it occurs across several species and in an evolutionary sense actually is conducive to peacefulness and bonding amongst a species. If you think about it in the pragmatic sense ie. the here and now and practicle value bisexuality in this context is quite spiritual phenomenon if by spiritual you mean ‘gentleness, compassion, not hurting others’..I would very likely imagine if more people were bisexual we would have a far less violent society, less war, less in fighting because sexuality can be harnessed for goodness. In traditional heterosexuality women compete with other women for mates or men compete with other men for mates—violence, nastiness, ego, domination—not spiritual. In a bisexual society, everyone fancies everyone else–peace, cohesion, women are not nasty to other women as enemies or competitors as they love them too and see their beauty, men are not nasty to other men as competitors as they fancy them too..Everyone happy. In the practicle sense, the spiritual society should be a loving, peaceful, gentle society. Bisexuality promotes this. This is why for me personally I get on great with men and bi or lesbian women whereas I feel threatened and having to watch my back with straight women because they try to compete and hurt you. Where there is attraction, people are alot more lovely..because they are intrinsically motivated to be so..
Put the Bible aside for a minute and think logically about this
Also, the existence of homoexuality in a species or society can be seen as evolutionarily advantageous as it acts as a necessary population check…Demographically over population is lessened and hence so many evils which derive from that such as poverty, exploitation, abuse, prostitution etc as less children are produced. I am sure I do not need to mention the situation in China. In another sense, if women are bisexual it actually promotes procreation as it arouses men and in certain Mormon communities no doubt where a man has many wives and the Bible is totally FOR THAT bisexuality leads to group cohesion. Finally, in times when there was no access to proper contraceptions, attraction to the same sex would have been a natural release of proper libidinal energies so a woman was not getting pregnant every year to a point she could not afford or sustain and men were not impregnating every woman he spoke to…
In terms of practicle value for the human species, in this world, the here and now, and not in terms of ideal constructed utopias, what if’s, bisexuality is ‘good’ and ‘moral’..not bad and immoral..

Jealousies are supplanted by affections..
Well I do speak from experience. If I like a man and another girl has too, if I find her attractive it almost acts as a palliative measure. If I were straight, there might be the impulse there to compete or be immoral forgetting the golden rule..My attraction makes me nicer..
Yes I understand as a bisexual I do not find all women attractive but I think it can promote greater peace if not absolute peace in a society. If everyone was bisexual hypothetically speaking, it would be alot more difficult to hate entire populations, armies of men against men…I am not saying absolute peace but just greater than is the case now..
I believe homosexuality evolved for a specific reason and rationally speaking ‘population check’ seems to be it. Not everyone is, granted, but the minority who are, I would like to say they are so for a reason. I also can find members of LGBT to be more spiritual in the general sense than members of religious institutions because they have experienced prejudice, exclusion, nastiness at the hands of said institutions, they learn more about morals and goodness in this life on their journey through persecution..I also think if members of Fundamentalist Christianity thought in these ways about homosexuality and even if they think it is immoral they could see a rationale for the behaviour, they would be more understanding and loving about it..
In relation to polygmous marriages, what I am saying is that yes, in the traditionally heterosexual union, there is bickering and pecking orders and nastiness amongst the women because they want to be number 1. But, if there is bisexuality amongst them, it promotes cohesion because they find each other beautiful and love each other too instead of tearing each other down to be number 1. And, as I said, not every sect of Christianity believes as you do Blue Eyed Christian and that doesn’t mean they are wrong and you are right. Mormons believe as they do just as the Quiverling movement believes as they do. I doubt most Christian women these days want to have a baby every year without contraception for the next 20 years because it is not sustainable and they would have a poor quality of life. But biblically, that is ideal. Hence, the Catholic Church is against contraception and people are dieing in Africa of AIDS because they have to prostitute themselves for money
There would still be an alarmingly high mortality rate if we all went by Biblical sanctions or the Pope’s ideas about contraception and family planning. Go forth and multiply…we can’t really, we can’t afford it…
OK I am not presenting my claims here as absolutes BUT I am saying, living my life as a bisexual woman, I know, it has made me more loving, more gentle and spiritual that I imagine, were I to be straight I would not at all be..
Everyone has flaws and everyone still experiences the dark side of humanity but I believe as does the scholar I cited at the beginning that bisexuality if not promoting Absolute peace, certainly promotes greater peace in a society were it to be commonplace…
There are different interpretations of scripture. The Quiverling movement does not believe it is Biblically correct to use contraceptions..Have a look

Yes it is the case that because the Pope is against using contraception out of some antiquated notion, there are people in Africa who do not use it. Many women are forced into prostition to provide for their families which is not Biblically sanctioned in any case but that is the penury of their lives…

It is all well and good to sit upon a throne and mandate things. To prescribe ideal methods of conduct from a luxurious lifestyle where you want for nothing but you cannot ascribe to these standards when you are driven to desperation from the circumstances of one’s life. The Vatican does not take the personal situation of the individual into account when they are sending out their little statements to the press. It is like the song Money from the film Cabaret..
‘When you go to get a word of advice from the fat little pastor he will tell you to love ever more but when hunger comes a rat tatatatat at the window. Who’s there? Hunger!
Oooh hunger..se how love flies out the door…

And the Cabaret song for effect.

Vatican is the most notoriously corrupt institution for centuries…

  1. First off, I don’t think bisexuality is wrong. You either are, or you aren’t. I don’t try to justify it by saying it promotes bonding or is good when there’s no form of contraception around.
Bottom line, if you’re attracted to someone of the same sex, then go for it! If not, then no amount of justification or religious rationalization will make you want to have sex with someone of the same sex.

  2. Okay. Setting the Bible aside (mostly!)…
    >if more people were bisexual we would have a far less violent society, less war, less in fighting because sexuality can be harnessed for goodness. In traditional heterosexuality women compete with other women for mates or men compete with other men for mates—violence, nastiness, ego, domination—not spiritual.
I don’t think that bisexual people are any less competitive or any more inherently good than anyone else. Perhaps someone who is bisexual can shed more light, but human nature is human nature and doesn’t hinge upon one’s sexual orientation.
    >In a bisexual society, everyone fancies everyone else–peace, cohesion, women are not nasty to other women as enemies or competitors as they love them too and see their beauty, men are not nasty to other men as competitors as they fancy them too..
Not so. Being bisexual doesn’t mean that everyone you look at gives you the warm fuzzies. It isn’t like that for straight people or gay people either. Being bisexual doesn’t mean that you find all people attractive.
    >Demographically over population is lessened and hence so many evils which derive from that such as poverty, exploitation, abuse, prostitution etc as less children are produced.
I don’t agree. Look at areas in which there are large gay populations. Is the crime rate lower? Is the literacy rate higher? Is the standard of living better? No. It’s the same as everywhere else. And these days, a lot of gay people ARE having children.
    >where a man has many wives and the Bible is totally FOR THAT
You know that “mostly” part I said? This is what I was talking about. : ) The Bible is NOT for that. In the beginning, it was made clear that God’s plan was for one man to marry one woman. That ruled out polygamy and divorce. The fact that men did it doesn’t mean it’s a-okay. And in the New Testament, that same theme is repeated. One man, one woman only.
    >leads to group cohesion.
Not really. From the testimonies I’ve read from people in those situations, it’s actually a pecking order and the wives don’t get along so well. The only one who’s happy with it is the man.
    >Finally, in times when there was no access to proper contraceptions, attraction to the same sex would have been a natural release of proper libidinal energies so a woman was not getting pregnant every year to a point she could not afford or sustain
The alarmingly high infant mortality rate took care of that problem….
    >and men were not impregnating every woman he spoke to…
    Men didn’t do that.
    EDIT
    >I doubt most Christian women these days want to have a baby every year without contraception for the next 20 years because it is not sustainable and they would have a poor quality of life. But biblically, that is ideal.
Where does it say that we are to do that? It says “go forth and multiply”. It doesn’t say how many, or how often. No mention is made of birth control whatsoever. Children are talked about as a blessing, yes, but it does NOT say that we are to have as many as we are physically able to have. It doesn’t even give us a number to shoot for.
    >Hence, the Catholic Church is against contraception and people are dieing in Africa of AIDS because they have to prostitute themselves for money
The Catholic Church has a rather poor track record when it comes to the Biblical accuracy of their teachings, let’s just say that. Anyways, people in Africa are dying of AIDS because they are having careless sex, and in some places (like South Africa) it’s because they are raped by someone with AIDS. You can’t blame the church for someone’s decision to have sex or for a crime that someone commits against another person. People make their own decisions. Why aren’t the governments of these countries making sure their people are educated about STD transmission and the health risks of promiscuity?

  3. There is nothing wrong with bisexuality but you seem to be overcompensating and presenting it as a panacea.
Most of your claims are misleading or highly suspect.
And bisexuality doesn’t reduce tooth decay or cure dandruff either.

  4. So you think complete acceptance of bisexuality would prompt a Utopian civilization? It’s a nice theory, but there will never be peace. Women will always be jealous of others. Let’s say a lesbian pair watch Ellen and one of them thinks she’s beautiful; the other would probably be jealous for her mate’s attention. It can work this way with men as well. And people will still have differing opinions on how to run government and national affairs. Basically, it would just provide an acceptance of every type of sex, and it would go no further than that.
EDIT: Also, less children would be produced if irresponsible people would use condoms.

  5. Just accept the inalienable truth: That religion is a highly hypocritical and inconsistent thing. It is subject to change on a religious leader’s whim, not by the will of God.
Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with bisexuality, homosexuality or heterosexuality. You are what you are. The end.
