I feel depressed. I need some advise. Plz, answer it seriously.?

For some how, I didn’t masturbate for 5 days. I am practicing qi gong, kung fu, and meditation. In school, I started to have bad luck. I don’t know why. I just don’t know why. I failed to remember a math quiz. Forgot to bring in my homework. I can’t understand what is going on in biology class. I feel getting dumber. Does this has to do with masturbating? So I SHOULD masturbate then? I afraid it interfere with the kung fu since Chinese people said energy is gone from the body. I don’t know what to do. I am a boy who is 14 years old in high school as a freshmen.

This is what Taoism said about masturbating:

Some teachers and practitioners of Traditional Chinese medicine, Taoist meditative and martial arts say that masturbation can cause a lowered energy level in men. They say that ejaculation in this way reduces “origin qi” from dantian, the energy center located in the lower abdomen. Some maintain that sex with a partner does not do this because the partners replenish each other’s qi. Some practitioners therefore say that males should not practice martial arts for at least 48 hours after masturbation while others prescribe up to six months, because the loss of Origin Qi does not allow new qi to be created for this kind of time. Taoists strongly discouraged female masturbation. Women were encouraged to practice massaging techniques upon themselves, but were also instructed to avoid thinking sexual thoughts if experiencing a feeling of pleasure. Otherwise, the woman’s “labia will open wide and the sexual secretions will flow.” If this happened, the woman would lose part of her life force, and this could bring illness and shortened life.[

  • those taoist teachers you mention, they’re pretty accurate at what they say. Idk about women, but when talking about males they are right for sure. I ‘ve been noticing this myself all my life, before I even came up to what these taoist masters claim.

  • My first answer is no. Masturbation really has nothing to do with your intelligence or your ability to concentrate (unless of course you’re sitting in class and all you can do is think about grabbing hold). But, as masturbation is a natural thing for humans (and some animals), it does expend energy. Whether or not your depression is stemming from a lack of self pleasurement is only something you can answer. But you can perform an experiment…You said that you have not JO for 5 days and you are now depressed. Well, go ahead and do it. Do you feel any better? If the answer is yes, then your problem is solved. Don’t worry too much about loosing the energy, you’re young and your energy replenishes itself rather rapidly. If the answer is no, well, then it wasn’t from a lack of JO. You will then need to ask yourself what it is that has you depressed. And you should also feel encouraged to speak with either your parents or your sensei regarding depression. Trust me, if your sensei is worth his/her salt, you can talk to ’em about anything.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  • Chances are good that you can have a wank once/or twice a day and still have plenty of energy left over for Kung Fu.

Don’t take that Taoist stuff about conserving Qi through not ejaculating too seriously. Medical science has advanced quite a way since these ideas came out in China. Taoist sexual ideals are only based on the speculations of scholars with no particular medical training, i.e., they are based on superstition rather than fact. If you’re wanking compulsively that might be a problem but if you can go 5 days without it’s pretty safe to say you’re not even close to being compulsive. Just relax and listen to your body rather than dogma that’s not working for you.

  • A LOT of that teaching has not been updated for modern times.

There’s really no connection between masturbation and forgetting your homework, etc.

You need to relax, my friend, and spend some time in your heart area, rather than in your head (worrying).

The Tao teachings can be of benefit to sexual education, but like anything, they are a tool, not an absolute.

    Anything else, just ask.

Btw, the amount of Qi lost in a teen is so tiny, it’s barely noticeable, AND it gets replaced really quickly, thanks to Mother Nature (the Goddess, that is, not you)…
