I don't believe in God, but I believe I'm a God?

Could you say the same about yourself?
I don’t believe in God, because my idea of God is the object in my mind, and if I ever try and believe in it I come upon a reality that is very uncomfortable, one that I recognize not as anything spiritual but as that which exists through my senses. It’s full of death and suffering and disease. So basically, I don’t want to go there.
However, I understand the nature of reality and its eternal property and characteristics. So by realizing this my ego is sent towards that realm. That is where I do want to go. By realizing this, I know the reality beyond the duality of good and evil, thus making me, “like a god.” And although I don’t care if you worship me or not, I think it’s pretty damn cool to think of myself as a god. Don’t you? If only for the ego stroke 🙂

  1. this, my friend, is what they put you in crazy houses for
you’re supposed to say that your FATHER is God & you came to spread his word…it’ll earn you world wide fame & a band of sheep-like followers…

  2. Go right ahead and create a universe by the power of your own words. Create energy without the use of any kind of energy, and likewise create matter. When you can do these things, then you can start pretending that you’re some kind of a God. Until then, you’re just a poser – just like satan, whose example and footsteps you’re following in.

  3. “However, I understand the nature of reality and its eternal property and characteristics.”
    LOL no, you don’t.

  4. well no offense
buh NO i dont think its cool
    if u r a god
nd a person totally CANNOT b a god
    wats wrong wit ur mind?

  5. So basically, you really just believe what you want to believe and reason, logic and evidence has nothing to do with? Well, I guess your not an atheist if you believe you’re a god.
No, I don’t believe in a god, but I also don’t believe that I am one. My realization makes me sentient, not a “god”. I just don’t think that is an appropriate word for it. My definition of a god is a sentient being that created the universe in one way or another. I didn’t create the universe.

  6. We’ll beat you half to death, hang you out to dry in the desert over noon, shoot you through the heart, and once death is verified by the authorities bury you in a sealed tomb.
If you make it to work on Monday then sure, you’re God.
You are just a man, a flawed creature of flesh and blood in need of the Savior like all the rest of us.
Try claiming to be Napoleon Bonaparte, that was popular once.

  7. The problem here is that the natural mind perceives not the things of God for they are foolishness to the mind. You need to think of God as the complete opposite to the way man thinks.
Man says it can’t be done…God says..”With me all things are possible”.
Mans mind cannot possibly get round the amazingness of God, so don’t even attempt it, that is why with God all things are possible and with man we cannot even begin to try the impossible.
You are no god and never will be, and to think for one second that you can take on the might of an awesome God is literally OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!
HE created you with 10 trillion cells…..what can you create????

  8. Something like what you are saying was brought up in the beginning of human history, see Genesis ch.3, vs. 4 and 5-“At this the serpent said to the woman: ” you positively will not die, for God knows that in the very day of your eating from it your eyes will be opened and you are bound to be like God knowing good and bad”, (also check surrounding verses). This was the first lie. The suggestion was that humans are better off without God, that he is withholding something that they need, and that they won’t die if they rebel against him. They can actually prosper and be their own god to themselves.Listening to this lie is what brought all of the problems that we see and experience today. Has history proven that people can do whatever they want and everything is going well? No it hasn’t, the news is a daily reminder of the result of what happens when people ignore God. .

  9. Let me tell you a little story, I once heard. A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: “I don’t believe that God exists.”
“Why do you say that?” asked the customer.
“Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn’t exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can’t imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things.”
The customer thought for a moment, but didn’t respond because he didn’t want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: “You know what? Barbers do not exist.”
“How can you say that?” asked the surprised barber. “I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!”
“No!” the customer exclaimed. “Barbers don’t exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.”
“Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me.”
“Exactly!”- affirmed the customer. “That’s the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don’t go to Him and do not look for Him. That’s why there’s so much pain and suffering in the world.
