I can control my adrenaline?

Right first of all I want to say I know there are a few similar questions to this. The reason I know is because I searched for ages and read about other people who seem to be able to do the same thing… however are ridiculed by other people etc

Well I want to say that I am a highly intelligent person, I’m not some kid that has just watched ‘Wanted’ and wants to live the dream.

I understand that technically speaking it is impossible for me to control my adrenaline, I know how it works and I also have an intimate knowledge of what systems it works with and why etc…

However…

I still have this ability… and it seems I am not alone, and I want to know what it means. Im not looking to be a super hero or anyone special I just want some answers or to start looking in the right direction.

For me it feels like this.

I just have to think about it and I feel a cold rush running down the back of my neck, this cold tingling sensation then fills my whole body… it is IDENTICAL to the feeling I experience when my body naturally triggers my adrenaline in a fight or flight scenario.

My heart rate increases and my pupils dilate and I do feel a little tired after it.

Now I know as a sensible person that this sounds fanatical and far fetched, but please take me seriously I can really do this and so can some other people… what does it mean?

I suspect it is linked to the pineal gland due to what I have researched and from my own personal experience of where the feeling starts from (the back of my neck), its ‘almost’ like adrenaline coming from the middle of my brain to the back of my neck and then down, that is what it feels like and I can turn it off and on when I please, my brain is telling me it can’t be adrenaline because I should not be able to control that function but that is exactly what it feels like and my body confirms this to me (increased BP and Heart Rate with dilated pupils)

I’m not crazy and I’m not making this up, I will happily be more specific about it to anyone who can potentially help me.

Please do not answer with any ‘Wanted wannabe your a fake’ type responses, I have taken the time to do this because I honestly want some answers about this and this is a last ditch attempt to see if anyone out there can help
Ok maybe I left that door wide open for someone to walk through so its my fault.

I have spoken to several doctors about this, five actually. The first 4 said it was impossible and didn’t believe that I could do it the last one was very interested and wants me to go for blood tests which I have coming in the next few weeks….

So yes this is a last ditch as I have explored many other avenues…. thanks

I can do it too. I have never met anyone eles that can do it. I first figured out i could do it from skating. When I would skate I would get an adrenaline rush over and over. I kept making myself get adrenaline rushes until I learned how to do it. Now I can control it whenever I want. My pulse comes from my chest and I can control it to go wherever I want it to. I would be very interested in learning more! Email me.

Can anyone explain how to do it, do you have to focus on imagining an intense situation or is it like a muscle you activate? Either way can you explain more about how to do it instead of what it’s like to do it.

Me too! I can do exactly what ur saying, but instead of it feeling like its coming from my brain, it feels like its coming from my heart. I showed others and they just thought it was weird. I don’t think everyone can do that, thats why I can’t find any info on it. I want answers too, email me.

I can do this, too! I want to know what it is. This is the only thread I can find about it. Like Brandon said, I can turn on just like when you pee. For me though, I have to hold it “on” and when I let go, it stops.

I can do this too, I just recently noticed the heart rate increase (I found mine, from 63 to 128, in one minute..) and pupils dilation today, which made me look it up to find this. Everything I’ve read says releasing adrenaline is impossible? More importantly, is it dangerous?

I’ve been able to do this as long as I remember as well I won’t go into detail because we all already know…you can choose the intensity, where it happens in your body and all that good stuff. I have two things to add after years of researching this. I have a much harder time activating this ability when there foreign substances in my body(weed & alcohol). Second, if you activate it for a quick second, let it go, and do that repeatedly…the intensity will increase naturally every time you “jolt” yourself. My theory is maybe it’s something to do… Read more »

You are indeed not the only one. I have no clue how it works either but I have this ability and I do beleive it really ups my concentration and strenght and speed. Sounds like adrenaline to me but I was also told its impossible. Other thing I can do that people dont beleive me I can, Slow my heartrate momentaraly, go to like 30 bpm for a a couple of seconds willignly. Weird stuff. The doctor couldnt explain it but my normal HR is like 55 to 60 and very stable if I dont do anything.

I was the only person I knew that could do this too. I also have a “surge” ability that starts in the center of my body and keeps getting stronger until my body shakes and I stop. What is this???

Hi I had an experience with a adrenaline rush. It was when I was playing football with my friends for the first time next to a random elementary . I did not know any of them so i felt very nervous , and did not want to be the person who was made fun of as I was not athletic and I barely had a weight of around 100 pounds. While I was there I was playing with them as normal and just being the person on the side and not being very active in the game .when I finally got… Read more »

I also have this “surge” ability ever since I could start forming memories. Probably around the age of 4 or 5. I remember doing it as a young kid before I would sprint across the house or something. The feeling is almost like when you let yourself pee or when your ears pop. I can do this ability at certain amounts of power, low frequency and a very high frequency till my body shakes and I have to release it. The feeling starts at the top of my spine and usually fluctuates throughout my entire body but when I’m bored… Read more »

I can do this as well and am glad that there are other people that have this special ‘gift’. My experience is similar, however after reading the comments it is clear that people have different experiences and intensities. When I trigger this rush, I become fidgety and can’t stay still. The biggest difference between me and the others I have read is that strangely, the cold sensation begins from my center (near the heart) and spreads throughout my body. This makes me slightly doubt that I have this same ability and perhaps it is different. I don’t know.

I am able to do this as well, but I believe I have a theory: Have you tried to compare that tingling feeling that your feeling in the back of your neck to any other feelings you’ve had? For me it’s almost like the thrill of being on a roller coaster. That being said, I believe what we’re doing is replicating the “Falling” feeling. Aka tricking our minds into thinking that we’re falling and when you fall, you in turn DO activate your adrenaline. So when you look at it like this, it does make a fair amount of sense.… Read more »

I have had this ability since I first remember as a very young child. I was researching to determine whether or not I could use this odd talent to cheat a polygraph test. I had no idea other people had this.

I’ve been able to release my adrenaline at will since I was a teenager. I am not almost 30 now and I feel I have even better control over it. How I can descirbe it as there is a “button” or “switch” at the base of my neck between my shoulder blades. When I activate or “push” the button I feel a wave of energy spread through my body and down my limbs. Thats the best I could probably describe it.

Hey so I’m late, but I’m glad I found this forum. I definitely can trigger mine as I want. I thought it was something everyone did. But when I asked friends they looked at me crazy. I’ve been able to do it since I was a kid and I’ve always wondered what it was and why?

Wow, I finally found the thread I’ve been searching for! I’ve been trying to research this every once in a while for the past like 5 years. I’m 19 years old and I also can do this. For me, I found that I could do this at around 13, and the feeling is exactly like you’re all describing, except my chest feels very warm and once I can’t hold it anymore (due to be intensity growing far too strong) it makes me feel really euphoric, almost feels like a marijuana high in a way with heavy body relaxation and euphoria.… Read more »

This is crazy that other people can do it. I have been trying to figure out what it is since a month ago, it seems that i can hold it for a minute, i can use it to numb pain. Whenever i hold it i get really fidgety, cant sit still its an intense rush through head.

So I’ve been able to do this for as long as I can remember and rarely stop to think about it these days. I’ve never thought to google it as it has no name and is so descriptive. (But I’m super bored so here we are). Sensation is much the same as everyone has described, I focus and can get a sustained rush. Would love to know more about it.
