How useful is meditation before a workout and exercise ?

How useful is meditation before a workout and exercise ?
Lets say before a very vigorous workout, If I meditate and free my mind. Will be able to control the pain better when exercising. For example, I do the horse stance. (Martial arts stance). I can sit in it for 5 minutes. If I meditate before I do those kind of exercises, will I have the mental strength to do more.

  1. It’s some what useful keeping your mind clear and calm so when you’re working out you don’t feel as pressured and angry.
