The whole aim of meditation is, 1. to calm your mind, and 2. to focus the mind on one thing. The mind of a normal person is like an uncontrolled monkey jumping from one thought to another. To process all these thoughts a lot of body energy is used. Thus if your mind cease to process thoughts you will be saving a lot of body energy which can be used to cure a lot of ailments in your body. That is why a person who continues to meditate regularly even gets a nice body complexion. Anapana or concentration on the… Read more »

i did mediation in a re lessons in school
its not like some film portray it to be
eg struggling to get your ankles on your thighs and saying ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm …ummmmmmmm

you just find A PLACE that’s not got any distractions like in front of the TV when footy’s on

go somewhere and sit breath really deeply and concentrate on somethings
its about using your imagination

like imagining you are on a diet and your exercising really hard and in your mind you see yourself becoming slimmer
you have to visualising what you want to get it

This is a very big subject. Lets first of all cover the how. The Dali Lama recomends that several sessions of ten minutes, every day, are more beneficial than an hour every couple of days. So, if you have ten minutes spare, you can take advantage of the time. Sit in a relaxed position, with your spine straight, get comfortable and determine that you will not move for ten minutes. Now watch your breath. Concentrate as you breathe in, and then as you breathe out. Feel the movement of air through the top of the nostrils. Inevitably, after a few… Read more »

It`s really good. You get a great peacefulness within you; you are so calm. You become awar of the world. Even every little thing becomes important and never skip your way.

It`s good for health too. Blood circulation is strong. Your spine gets more flexibility and good for the metabolism too.

Start for 10 – 5 mins, the regularly you can improve up to 30 mins or 1 hr.

Good Luck.

During meditating you keep yourself away from the world’s leisure and you have direct liaison with the God. Meditation helps you to improve your inner self and remain attached to the supreme power. All your sorrows and sufferings are taken care by the God when you fully surrendered to Him. You come out and remain clean and will be saved to commit all kinds of wrong deeds in your life. The temptation of evils thoughts will vanish and you remain fresh like flowers at all times. The meditation is a path to salvation. To meditate, you need to search a… Read more »

Meditation has only benefits. It should be done in a quiet place usually in the mornings or evenings before dinner. It can be done in several different manners. There is the Yogic meditaion which is more intense. Many people practice Transcendental Meditaion. General meditiation is the best. 15 to 20 minutes to begin with and then you can increase as you get used. I do it while sitting on the floor with my legs stretched out. I lean against the wall and just relax and let my thoughts go. At first it is difficult because you wil be bombarded with… Read more »

oh yes some of us get nuts, because it is manipulate body system and organizer. you may get sickness that no doctor know where it comes from too…..

try to know and aware that you are breathing, all the time, (simple but hard).
and then, lower the pace of breathing

do meditate when you are happy or relaxed, not to archieve it,

meditation amplifies your feeling and psychological state,

I have been reading about meditation for years now yet I have never attempted it. The reason why I have not done it is because I know in my heart it is real and how do you come back after gaining that kind of insight? You would never be the same again. I’m not ready to change yet, I dig booze, food, and whores.
