How the body – consciousness or egoism and the sense of duality vanish?

  1. Egoism gradually dissipates as one transcends serving the self and puts his attention on serving the Self, or all that is. In the process, one identifies with Self or with oneness thereby there is no longer any sense of duality.

  2. You are not private property. Your property is human essence, your risk is inhuman. It is a property of you and you of it. Life is the work of balancing right against wrong. Ego is balanced against anti ego, certainty against doubt; that is how we move. Life is moving, life is change. Keep your balance.

  3. Well, according to some philosophies it’s possible, but keep in mind that they are just ideas, and everyone lives to their own accord. Personally, I believe that for sense of duality to vanish, to become one with the great essense that is alive in everything, you have take a step back from your life and everyday actions that it takes to survive and get intouch with yourself. consciously you have to take the step into the unknown and get comfortable with that feeling. think to youself as doing it, not how to do it. know you are doing something and you will find a way. faith isnt just a word describing blind adherence to something you dont understand as many christians will want you to believe.

  4. It is not hard to have ones sense of duality vanish for a little while, any form of mediation can lead a person to a transcendent experience in which the person experiences a lack of duality- a great oneness. But, in order to carry this experience as a way of life and natural state of being, a lot of clearing, healing, and spiritual work must be accomplished in order to attain the reality of oneness with God/creation/self. I have only seen this accomplished through work with an advanced spiritual Teacher who lives the experience themselves.

  5. When the stories of the saints, they enter our hearts through the ears, the body – consciousness or egoism and the sense of duality vanish and when they are stored in the heart, doubts fly out to all sides, pride of the body will fall, and wisdom will be stored in abundance. It is like Light houses are constructed at various places in the sea, to enable the boatmen to avoid rocks and dangers, and make them sail safely. Sai Baba’s stories serve a similar purpose in the ocean of worldly existence. They surpass nectar in sweetness, and make our worldly path smooth and easy to traverse.
The description of Baba’s pure fame, and the hearing of the same, with love, will destroy the sins of the devotee and, therefore, this is the simple Sadhana for attaining salvation. The Sadhana for Krita Age was Shamadama (tranquillity of mind and body), for Treta Age, sacrifice, for Dwapara, worship, and for Kali (present) Age, it is singing of the name and glory of the Lord. This last Sadhana is open to all the people of the four varnas (Brahmins, etc.). The other Sadhanas, viz. Yoga, Yagya (sacrifice), Dhyana (meditation) and Dharana (concentration) are very difficult to practice, but singing and hearing the stories and the glory of the Lord (Sai Baba) is very easy-

  6. It’s not so much that body-consciousness or egoism vanish but that one sees (from within) or lives through it. Everything we experience as being outside ourself is a conceptualization, and thus by seeing, being through the concept one’s center of awareness is not the thing-event in space or mind but the space or mind in itself (ourself) and as a Whole; that is to say, the basic, pure Intelligence that we Are and that everything Is (God). Thus duality, sensory perception, ego are no problem as they become transparent (void) to the seer, whose center is everywhere and nowhere, literally speaking. Such is consciousness without (through) an object: the One (Whole) nonliteral, purely spiritual, transcendent, intuconscious stream or Totality of Being (the Nonliteral Perspective) that Is.
