God forbade all forms of divination for his people in Deuteronomy 18:10-14. The arts of the Eastern Magi in the Babylonian courts were shamed and exposed as fraudulent by the prayerful dependence of God of the prophet Daniel. The story of the Magi in Matthew 2 demonstrates the largeness of God’s grace in reaching out to people in the midst of their rebellion, even through those arts, to draw them to the worship of his Son. This story cannot be read as a general endorsement of astrology as a path to Christ, any more than we should seek ‘road to… Read more »

Many Christians are too immature to understand they are playing into Satan’s hand when they read the horoscope. Getting any information from any source other than the Holy Spirit can lead to deception and bondage, but God will forgive and cleanse anyone who will repent and turn from it ( 1 John 1:9 ). Horoscopes are for the world, not Christians, because they serve the god of this world, which is Satan ( 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 ).

Bless the Christians who are “unknowing” of every single thing this world throws at them. How wonderfully human!

Actually a large number.

I run a local pagan store, and we have a substantial number of christians come in for Tarot readings, Astrological charts etc…..
Some even buy candles and herbs.

And everyone of them knows that there is in fact NO danger in doing so.

I don’t know.

But–and I think this is cool. Did you know that there are 12 houses, each with 3 minor constellations, and the names haven’t changed? I learned that in church, where we believe we should not mess with the horoscope at all.

The heavens declare the glory of God.

its one of those contradictions in the bible.

is some verses it is allowed

in some it is forbidden

(and don’t forget Jesus & the Magi (Wise men))

jesus told his followers to watch the stars
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars

Well, I guess it’s a good thing that the Wise Men (Magi) weren’t astrologers then…..oh wait a minute….they were.

If only someone had told the three Magi.

Yet the Magians, the watchers of the stars, found themselves led to God Himself.

Perhaps there are Epiphanies everywhere.
