How is the Mark, Light or Seal upon the forehead mentioned in different religions?

The Bible mentions the seal of God as the ultimate goal of faith. In Revelation, anyone lacking the Mark on the forehead is banished. Also, Jesus spoke about it time to time. If thine eye be awakened, thy whole body shall be flooded with Light and Fire (King Benjamin Version). I translated that verse myself. You can look it up, it’s said just like that in Greek. That describes the third eye. He mentions it again in various passages. Here’s another favorite: My yoke (yoke of mind with the Creator is yoga) is easy and my burden Light (the yoga carries Light in, a ‘burden’ on its shoulders). Light is sensed by the pineal gland, processed via the pituitary gland and seen by our visual cortex at lower brainwaves just before ultimate relaxation brainwave. So, this ‘Forehead Light’ is being referred to in this verse as well.
Is it also a goal in Islam to seal the forehead with a spiritual mark? I would like to know this for Hinduism and Judaism and any other religions as well. Attaining this seal is a goal in yoga. The middle of the forehead seems to be a very popular spot among religions. I believe awakening the third eye is a common thread among religions for this reason:
When there’s a discipline to follow, some kind of enlightenment enters (via the pineal gland) from a dimension other than our own. The LHC particle accelerator in Europe is being prepared to pull energy from nuclear reactions into the other dimension as you read this.
Every religion is a yoga because it suggests a discipline for everyone to follow. ‘Yoga means ‘union’ or ‘to yoke.’ Disciplines of the mind are taught in every religion and disciplining the mind are teachings of self-control, which unite a group of people together, which is what yoga is. This prepares the body to open the third eye (pineal gland about an inch into the brain, directly behing the middle of the brows. In order to bring more power to the religion so everyone in it may experience Heaven, evangelizing is needed.

  1. Religion is based, I think, primarily and mainly upon fear. It is partly the terror of the unknown and partly, as I have said, the wish to feel that you have a kind of elder brother who will stand by you in all your troubles and disputes. Fear is the basis of the whole thing — fear of the mysterious, fear of defeat, fear of death. Fear is the parent of cruelty, and therefore it is no wonder if cruelty and religion have gone hand in hand. It is because fear is at the basis of those two things. In this world we can now begin a little to understand things, and a little to master them by help of science, which has forced its way step by step against the Christian religion, against the churches, and against the opposition of all the old precepts. Science can help us to get over this craven fear in which mankind has lived for so many generations. Science can teach us, and I think our own hearts can teach us, no longer to look around for imaginary supports, no longer to invent allies in the sky, but rather to look to our own efforts here below to make this world a better place to live in, instead of the sort of place that the churches in all these centuries have made it.

  2. In Paganism the ‘third eye’ is where the 6th chakra resides, it is responsible for intelligence and psychic power. Third eye chakra is associated with the pituitary gland, eyes, nose, ears and skeletal system.
The brow chakra is directly related to your senses of sight and hearing. It has to do with perception. It is the seat of understanding that affects how we see the world we live in and how we make sense of what is being perceived. Balancing this chakra can help remove confusion or indecision and increase the ability to see clearly and make important distinctions.
It’s also possible for Chakra’s to be unbalanced, Some signs that the Brow Chakra is out of balance are:
    Jumping to conclusions
Inability to see the bigger picture in life situations.
I hope i answered you question properly.
I was very interested to read what you wrote, i wasn’t aware that other religions mentioned developing the Third eye, i’m very interested in this now 🙂

  3. In Hinduism, the tilaka or tilak is a mark worn on the forehead and other parts of the body. Tilaka may be worn on a daily basis or for special religious occasions only, depending on different customs. The tilaka symbolize the third eye, or mind’s eye, that is associated with many Hindu gods and the idea of meditation and spiritual enlightenment. In the past, tilakas were usually worn by Gods, priests, ascetics, or worshippers, but is now a common practice for most Hindus. It can express which Hindu tradition one follows. It may be made with sandalwood paste, ashes (vibhuti), kumkum, sindhoor, clay, or other substances. The pastes are applied to the forehead and in some cases to the upper part of the head.

  4. You give a misinformed impression of Revelation 14:9-11
9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”

  5. Didn’t the bible also mention the seal of God in the saints forheads and didn’t Jesus himself say that if your eye is single the whole body would be filled with light.

  6. didn’t the bible also mention that the seal of the living God would be in the saints forheads and didn’t Jesus say if thine eye be single your whole body will be filled with light

  7. Wow. This was the greatest find ever for me personally…because it just happened on 3-13-13 for me and I’ve had a really hard time explaining/describing it in terms that I, or anyone else, can understand or believe. Why? Because we’re so consumed with our “education” that we don’t even know where to start. I’ve had to work backwards from the experience in order to define it, while before I was religious, with the hope and belief in things. Now I KNOW. I literally saw a light for three days and…well, Awoke. I’ll leave it there, but it was the most poignant experience of my life.
