Yoga is a healing system of theory and practice. It is a combination of breathing exercises, physical postures, and meditation that has been practiced for more than 5,000 years.

Anything you do consistently becomes “normal” for you. Hatha yoga could be called “Immobile Gymnastics” too. The effects of yoga have a lot to do with stretching comfortably to get into a posture. My experience after many years of practice, especially with the full lotus, was pretty much like sitting down into a warm tub of water. And the many other postures did give me a massaged sort of feeling. It was more like that of a sponge full of dirty water being squeezed out.
