How do I reconcile my experiences with out of body and astral projection with being an atheist?

This question is like my biggest paradox. I can recall in great and extensive detail of my out of body experiences and astral travel and projections as actual real phenomenon. However, I am not a religious or a philosophical person, and I am also inclined to accept science and the evolution theory for the origins of life and the universe. However, I am aware that science hasn’t unraveled all of the brain’s “mysteries” and that is still much unknown about human consciousness.

Being an atheist just means not beliving in gods or religion. You don’t have to believe in a god to astral project. If you are an atheist, you believe only what science proves. There are plenty of scientific experiments on astral projection, and there is some great data on the existence of astral projection. Perhaps astral projection is just one of those things that your brain can do that science just doesn’t understand yet. From my personal experience, it doesn’t have anything to do with A mystical, all powerful being, but with my own body and brain.

How does out of body experiences and astral projection contradict with being an atheist? All it takes to be classified as an atheist is a dis-belief in any and all gods. Neither that you described has anything to do with the belief/dis-belief in gods.

Astral projection doesn’t have anything to do with gods. There, astral projection reconciled.

Atheism is just the nonbelief in gods. Everything and anything else is fair game.
