How do I PATIENTLY wait for God’s plan when I am in the middle of a crisis right now?

pleaseeeeeeeee, this question is for believers. I am seriously looking for some spiritual advice. thanks for respecting this request.
I am going through something right now, that I know will take time to solve. I know that everything happens in God’s timing; but, I am so broken-hearted right now in the process.
What can I do to stay strong while waiting for the results?
thanks for your replies in advance.

  • This is how….
You claim promises that God has given….and pray them back to Him. Here are two for you.

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
    1 Corinth. 10:13

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinth. 12:9

BELIEVE that! God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2)

Stay strong…..I will pray for you. IM or email if you would like
    to talk to someone ok?

  • It is so easy to say that you should pray and wait on God, when it is not your situation.

Now I will not tell you not to do these things because you should. Along with that you need to read the Bible and remember that God knows every nano-second of your life.
I don’t know what your crisis is and I don’t need to know, God knows and he will respond in the best way possible.

Let me tell you, I speak from experience. My daughter went to Baghdad at the beginning of this war.
I was so proud of her the day I took her as far as I could, knowing that she was headed for a war zone. I knew that it was possible that I would never see my child again. I knew she could come home minus limbs or other body parts or maybe in a casket. I also knew that even if she came home alive, she could be emotionally or mentally messed up for the rest of her life.

When she drove off with other soldiers, I stood in a parking lot and cried like I had not done when one of my friends committed suicide or even when my best friend was murdered. My daughter had her friend stop the car in the middle of the road, came back and hugged me. She said, Mom, I have never in all the things you have gone through seen you like this; I can not leave you until you can get it together. I knew I had to get it together. I prayed fast hard and quick. Now I will tell you some of what basically what got me through that crisis.

God knew you before you were born. You can go nowhere that He is not there. Nothing can happen to you that He does not know about now and He knew about it before you were born.

You see this crisis is new to you but it isn’t new to God. It is old news to Him.

I can not tell you that things will work out the way you want them to but go to bed tonight knowing that God has a plan for your life and if you let Him, He will work that plan. Nothing you have planned for your life will be better for you then His plan. Pray and thank God for keeping you; ask Him to forgive you for your lack of faith (worry) and ask Him to give you peace. Then thank God for being a kind loving father. He will see you through this. The sad part about seeing you through something is you must go through it. The good part is God goes through it with you.
Be blessed. I hope this helps you

  • Sweetheart- hold on to God..do not let go.
Do not let doubt live in your mind…..when it tries replace it with the Word of God find scriptures and remind yourself what God has done in the past….Be thankful always! Remind yourself that it could always be worse and do something for someone else.
Praise and Worship Music is soothing and uplifting.
Get around others that are mature in their walk with God and has been through some things because if you go to someone that has not overcome something similar you will just have a pitty party and that does nothing.
We join together with our Brothers and Sisters in Christ to be be edified and join in Prayer with you.
We are all not “there” yet but God sustains us, through His Word and through others.

Don’t get caught up in the cares of this world or they will drag you down. Instead You think on the Good things.
It is only a season….we have to hold on tight to our faith(thats where Fight for your faith comes in) and Our Joy in the Lord is Our Strength.

Once again be thankful with what you have and be thankful for the things you dont have…because you will be accountible for all things in Your Life that is placed in Your hands,So keep your hands clean and your heart pure.

Make sure you obey everything there is that God has asked of you…then You wait on the Lord for the next step.

  • Hold onto your faith. Don’t be afraid of offending Him with the screams and tears of your heart. He can take it. Don’t hold back, just tell him everything in your heart. A way to stay strong is to keep the truth near your heart. Keep verses that are really encouraging, like ones that others have posted in your wallet, so you can look at them. Memorize them, so you can repeat those truths to yourself when you really need them. Hide his words deep in your heart, and remember that you are loved. More than you can comprehend. You are cherished, danced over, and awaited.
Isaiah 53- read it. Write it down. Believe it.

  • Through 80 years of devout loyalty to “God” and “Christianity”, none of it has ever helped my family, and I really mean it.

    Religion is fake.

  • If You Really Want Help…..

Then head to the words you read…

    Ehyah Ahser Ehyah ….

Call on that name, it is the name given to moses…

Acknoledge that Jesus is not the Father..But Jesus is the Son, and the Messiah..

Pray to that name, the Father, and repent, and tell him you will keep all the commandments, even the sabbath…

Friday Night – Saturday Night = Just reserve that time for worship or reading the Bible…

And Stop Eating Unclean Animals… Leviticus 11..

Trust Me If You Do This The Lord Will Hear Your Cry, and will heal what you need healed.. It will happen, trust me.. Your life will get sooo much better…

But remember!!!! After you do this, and he asnwers your prayers. you half to keep doing it…YOU HALF TO KEEP DOING IT!!!!

Cuase If Something Happens Down The Road, he will remember that you repented but as soon as life got good again you went back to wrong…

So only do this if you will keep it…

  • I think waiting for God is not everything you can do. There are things you can do to make your situation better. It’s your life, so it’s in your hands. god doesn’t get involved in every single thing. But if you ask him for help he will help you. I’m just saying don’t expect God to put 100% into something.

  • There was once a man at sea, deep sea fishing to support his family. Unfortunately, a hole sprang up in the bottom of his boat and it started to sink. The man was forced to abandon his vessel and jumped into the water with his life vest.

Now he was floating there for an hour, praying for God to help him. And so, a boat arrived and asked if he needed help. The man said no, that God was going to help him, and the boat man departed.

An hour later, another, larger boat arrived and asked if he needed help. Again, the man said no, that God was going to help him, and again the boat departed.

A third boat arrived, and the man had begun to suffer from hypothermia, however he still turned down help, saying that God was going to help him.

The man died, and on the day of judgement he asked God, “Why did you not help me?” God looked at him and said, “Did you not see the three boats I sent you?”

Life is all part of God’s plan, but we must act, for our own actions are also part of this plan.

  • Keep praying! I am going through something horrible right now too and also waiting for God’s plan. He has always shown me the way in other times of crisis but much faster, and this time seems the very worst, and help seems to be very slow in coming. (I’ve been jokingly saying that I am aware that when God closes a door that he opens a window, but I’ve been feeling that my window has been painted shut!)

Above all don’t lose your faith (or sense of humor). Ask for direction and strength while you await the next step. If you are Catholic, pray the Rosary and say Novenas to St. Jude. If you aren’t Catholic, but just spiritual or some other denomination or even Jewish, keep praying and keep your eyes and heart open to the answers that will surely come.

And as I keep praying for my own answers, I will remember you in my prayers as well. May God Bless you and give you the strength to get through your difficult time.

  • I would look in the Bible for answers and strength, and of course pray. I always feel better after talking things out in the course of prayer. I will say a prayer that you find peace, Creole.

  • Don’t try to be strong. You must simply be strong. You do not try to believe in God, you simply believe. Your emotions want to run, they want to play out. But you must not let them. You must realize that you are in control of your own mind.

Yes, it sucks. Yes, it is probably terrible. But remember, you are in control. I doubt that God would place terrible things upon you just so he can come to the rescue. If it is a test, then it is your job to perform.

No one will save you but yourself. You must understand that this will end. Keep that thought in your mind. Picture the end of your pain in your mind, and do what is necessary to get yourself there.

    Good luck

  • Do you believe that God loves you? Do you believe that God wants good for you? Crisises exist due to lack of faith. Jesus said cast your cares upon Him for He careth for you. Further it is written that all things work to good for those that love God, for those who are called according to His purpose. His word is truth. Our problem is we want a certain out come. But as it is written, His ways and His thoughts are further above ours than heaven is above the earth. We are to have the same mind in us as was in Christ Jesus. Jesus spoke His mind when He said “Not My will but thy will oh God”. We want things a certain way, a certain time but you see God knows the future. What we want may look good for the moment but we do not know the end of it. God does.

  • God will often challenge us in different ways. It’s his goal to help us grow. I’m sure what ever happens to you, you will be a stronger and wiser person when this is all over.

  • I’m in a position where I have no choice but to wait on God to move on my behalf. I wait with hope, I wait with trust, I wait with knowing who my God is .. I wait knowing that He says He’ll never fail me .. He’ll never leave me alone .. He’ll be with me even until the ends of the earth .. I wait in faith believing that my God will perform His word and no word spoken from his mouth will be void ..but that word will accomplish what God says it will .. I know my God .. He’s my Father .. I have a personal relationship with him .. He’s done so much already to prove himself to me .. He brought me back from the dead .. when the doctor’s had given me up to die .. and death stood by my bedside and said “die” .. God spoke to my heart and said .. I have come to give you abundant life .. so “live” .. you can’t really serve God without an experience .. ask God for anything that he desires already to do for you .. and watch him do it .. he’s that kind of God! Hope my testimony helps you ..!!

  • calm down… whatever it is you are going through, he can help you handle it. Remember that the Lord is watching us to see how we handle every situation. Let me just say this
Fear and Faith are opposites. If you are in fear it’s only because you lack Faith. So with Faith in place you have little fear of anything. Pray on it and be sincere with yourself. There will be trials through life… Thank him for the sweet spots.. thank him for his son…

  • I too have been going through quite a few things that I would much rather not be in my life- health issues and financial trouble- this has been going on a long time, not just a short while. However to answer your question- I will ask you one- “How can you learn patience if God gives you everything you want and need immediately?” Patience is learned through trials.

“THOSE THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD, WILL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH, THEY SHALL MOUNT UP ON WINGS LIKE EAGLES- THEY WILL RUN AND NOT BE WEARY, THEY SHALL WALK AND NOT FAINT”

While you are waiting for God to answer your prayer ask Him this- “what is it you are teaching me while I wait”- I can guarantee that you will see your situation through new eyes- God’s not yours. I have.

  • God says that He will never leave your side…sometimes, I don’t feel like He’s there either, and that He’ll never answer..but, then, I remember He is…..it’s like the Barlow Girl song, Never Alone,

    I waited for you today
    But You didn’t show
    No no no
    I needed You today
    So where did You go?
    You told me to call
    Said You’d be there
And though I haven’t seen You
    Are You still there?

I cried out with no reply
And I can’t feel You by my side
So I’ll hold tight to what I know
You’re here and I’m never alone

And though I cannot see You
    And I can’t explain why
    Such a deep, deep reassurance
    You’ve placed in my life
    We cannot separate
    ‘Cause You’re part of me
    And though You’re invisible
    I’ll trust the unseen

God always loves u…if u fell like ur crying out with no reply, just remember the long run…think of the race ahead…and never take ur eyes of Jesus…or like Peter, u may drown…trust in Him to answer u….make sure it’s Him, and run with it!! God bless u, and I pray that u’ll have strength to praise God in the storm!!! 🙂

  • You can’t build muscle without increasing the resistance. Same goes for faith. Resistance and challenge is making you stronger.

  • Read or preferably listen to: “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins. Or if you feel even a bit more scholarly you could also read “History: Fiction or Science?” by Anatoly Fomenko

  • Actually talking to God more lets Him know that you really need this, and you are going through a tough time. Tell Him everything about your crisis and what you REALLY need him to do. Like, let’s say you pet needs an expensive surgery and you don’t have enough money. Don’t ask God for money. Ask him for Fido to be better. Sorry if you don’t get it… The priest explained it a lot better!

  • Remember to pray fervently before making any important decisions, or taking any critical steps.

Then, don’t forget to thank God when everything finally works out.

  • Keep going forward. Do not cling to emotions (yes, it’s hard not to, but not impossible). Pray for guidance and strength.

  • Romans 5:3-5:

Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Pray, pray, pray. Seek comfort in the Bible! I hope that this will make you spiritually stronger and firmer!

    God bless!

  • Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

    James 1:12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

I hope this helps – I’m praying for you

  • you have to go into prayer..and leave it with God….

i can’t tell you how many times i’ve had to do this
there have been days where i had to pray
every 15 minutes just to get through the next hour
    but he does provide….

    Christ returns soon…

  • Use as much support from family and friends as possible.
Use the love in your life to your advantage.
Just try to manage day by day, knowing in your head that God will one day fix it all.
But you have to remember life is never perfect and when this crisis is done a new one will arise.
    Keep your head up!

  • If you find yourself unable to wait, why don’t you take responsibility for yourself and formulate and implement a strategy to get yourself out of your crisis.

Formulate the strategy for solution. Think hard. Think of the possible outcomes, choose the best solution.

Once you have chosen the best solution, implement it at the best time.
