How do I experience spiritual awakening and enlightment? And connection to the Universe?

  1. It is the environment of being embodied in the earth plane where there is so much distraction that the true essence is not felt. Enlightenment is coming to the terms of recognizing these qualities are inherent in all life forms. It is a rediscovery process of love and light within that beckons to be glorified and magnified.
1.YOU CREATE 100% OF YOUR REALITY AND NO ONE CAN CREATE IN YOUR REALITY BUT YOU.
2.IT’S NEVER ABOUT ANOTHER PERSON, PLACE, OR THING.
3.EVERY PERSON, PLACE, OR THING IS A MIRROR AND HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A GIFT FOR YOU.
4.AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT, YOU EITHER ARE GIVING LOVE, OR ASKING FOR LOVE.

  2. You must realize all truths come from within. It is our observation which creates the ever present illusion around us. Once you begin to explore and master your inner-space, you will become enlightened into the nature of the outer-space.
As for the connection to the universe: You ARE the universe, not separate by any means, each element in our body was forged in the hearts of stars and through geometric and exponential growth, matter became life all giving rise to you; A vessel for the phenomenon of consciousness. You are the universe experiencing itself subjectively. So the connection is very easy to see… you are one in the same. There are no differences between me, you, the y!a, the world, galaxies… we are all made up of the same thing manifested in different arrangement.

  3. There are many ways in which to approach. The essence of enlightenment is to be.
You must first come to realize that enlightenment is not a possession, is not a destination nor is it an accomplishment.
    It IS.
I wish you Peace, Joy and Love as you traverse your life’s path.
    Blessings

  4. The Preacher sought to find acceptable words; and what was written was upright–words of truth.
The words of the wise are like goads, and the words of scholars are like well-driven nails, given by one Shepherd.
And further, my son, be admonished by these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.
For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.
    -Ecclesiastes 12
Contemplate Ecclesiastes in the light of the gospel of John.

  5. No one can show you your path or give you your answers.
It breaks some people, many don’t bother trying to find real answers, they hide behind a religion they don’t fully understand or they build up a “real life” so as not to focus on how empty they really are.
I don’t think there are any answers, nothing to connect with.
I think it’s the seeking that matters.

  6. It thrills my soul to see how many wonderful answers your query has elicited. What you are seeking is to be found within your very being. There are so many paths as there are souls. As Vivekananda used to say, ‘If there are a thousand souls there should be a thousand paths for each persons relationship with God is unique.’ That’s not really a quote but my understanding of what he said and my experience as well.
You are already connected to the universe. What throws us off is the ego/mind which makes what we think and believe seem substantial whether it is or not. So how do we know?
The Hindus have an approach that says, “Nada, nada.” In meditation you dismiss every ‘thing’ that comes into the mind with the awareness, ‘Not this, not this.’ Dismissing each thought that you once might have considered you allow all thought to pass through the mind as if it were no more than a cloud passing in the sky of your awareness. With practice there comes a time when all thought comes to a halt and the stillness within becomes real and your sense of self transcends the ego/mind and you realize that you are not the ego/mind or thought or emotion. You realize that you are the awareness Itself. Something changes in your perception and, as it says in the bible, ‘All things are made new.”
This is just one of the many ways that our perceptions expand to include what is Real instead of how we see the world from our ‘normal’ mortal consciousness.
Best bet; Find a path that your heart can relate to and do not veer from it until you gain some insight from the effort. Sri Sri Ramakrishna used to say that self effort and God’s grace are one and the same thing. If God and Truth are your goal, God and Truth will be the prize. As it says in the bible, “What Father will give a stone when his child asks for bread?”
Bless your efforts with peace and joy and understanding.
