How do I drill a hole into a piece of quartz to make a tealight candle holder?

I love my amethyst tealight candle holder. I see candle holders made from amethyst, quartz, celenite, rose quartz, citrine. I would like to know how the manufacturers are drilling the hole. Does anyone know?

  1. I have an off-the-wall suggestion. Call somewhere that sells cemetery head stones. Maybe someone there could either explain it to you, or even do it.

  2. diamond hole saw is the best way, i think… but DODIE is right you need TONS AND TONS of water… i burnt out at least 3 with drops of water, i used a hose and it was fine…
    Hope it helped 🙂
