How did God communicate his orders to Jesus on the ground?

There was no mail, FedEx, phones, faxes or e-mail, so how?
telepathy?

  1. Prayer… our direct line of communication to the Father. Jesus took the time to pray and to stay connected to God so that he would always be aware of God’s will.

  2. Yes, telepathy. God’s followers (who are all a little nuts) think they hear God talking in their minds. In some circles this ability is called “schizophrenia”, but we’ll ignore that for now.

  3. God spoke to His Son Yeshua the way He speaks to His Kids.
I hear the Lord speaking to me in my thoughts.
    I hear Jesus as well.
There is no email, no fedex, no ups, no cell phones. Do not need to text Him.
He hears me and I hear Him.

  4. Jesus was given most of his orders, as you say, before he was born into this world. Jesus was always alive. He is of spirit, and so is God. They spoke spiritually to each other while he was here on earth. Now they talk face to face. And there were times God’s voice was heard by others on the ground, coming from Heaven above. God deals with the physical and spiritual communication. In all languages and all ages.

  5. He kept killing people where they stood until he could spell out his messages with their bodies on the ground.
Where do you think the idea for the YMCA dance came from?
PS: Mr Cleetus’s comment is too good
“John 10:38 “…the Father is in Me and I am in the Father.””
That is so Catholic of you.

  6. The best way to answer your question i s reading the bible (if you want to get the right answer) Also, I think it was through angels (since the very name “angel” means messenger) I also thing he could just hear him…he was his father after all wasn’t he?

  7. God never ordered Jesus to do anything. Clearly, you have no idea who Jesus is, and that He was with God in heaven, from eternity, before He agreed to be incarnated as the baby at Bethlehem. The unique relationship between God and Christ was never broken when Jesus came to earth. As Jesus grew, He picked up on that. “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men” we are told in Luke 2:52.
Second, the same means of grace were available to Jesus on earth as are available to all who love God; the written word of God, the Holy Spirit’s leading, and the fellowship of the covenant community. Of course, Jesus was born without sin and never sinned, so his communion with God (which is a far more intimate relationship than mere communication) was infinitely superior to anything we can know on earth.
Lastly, on occasions God sent angels to minister to Christ (after Satan’s temptations in the wilderness, and in the Garden of Gethsemane), and three times God spoke audibly from heaven to confirm His delight in Christ.

  8. Earpieces were actually invented surprisingly early in history. His com pack used a very sophisticated battery, eventually causing lighting to be invented just so it could be charged.

  9. Spiritual Bluetooth.
Nah, just kidding. He didn’t. Jesus was just a guy. A very wise spiritual teacher, but a guy, nonetheless.

  10. my schcitrist calls that schizophrenia
my definiition of computers is schizophrenia id say they probably hear the holy spirit or feel him jesus is in reality me no its not me but i know him he is to live a normal life to count the blessing from his healing days and his followers you see if the time machine rescude him none of us would be here there is a flux feeding on the vines idcall them and im on the progression level hhere we reach one end to the other in a big bang box spoiled it would be recyled mabby fruit one day.

  11. Modular Command Communication Device, can be adapted to perform resurrection, understand any language, and open locked doors.

  12. If an answer from my interpretation of Scripture does not satisfy, you shouldn’t pose hypothetical questions. My understanding is that Jesus was fully man and fully God. He clearly knew his mission on earth. He tells his apostles repeatedly not to speak of his inevitable death and resurrection until after his ascension. Three apostles see him transfigured along with Moses and Elijah. His cousin John recognizes him at His baptism. And he prays to God at Gethsemane to remove his fate if possible but consents to His father’s will. Read the gospels, or at least Matthew. They are short.

  13. im sorry for not adressing the topic but i just want to say i find it sad how many people got thumbs down for there answers that are actually pretty understandable, if someone just went through here and clicked the thumbs down cause they hate religion then why did they even click here? and if that didnt happen i appoligize… but it seems pretty suspicios

  14. Apparently it was a matter of already knowing before he made his appearance. Either that or 80 percent inspiration and 10 percent talking to doves. Or was that 20 percent talking to Jack Daniels and 80 percent sipping doves?

  15. From a Trinitarian perspective wherein God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three persons in one God, it should be fairly evident that Jesus’ divine and human natures were able to communicate with each other. The famous formulation (Chalcedon?) says it better than I can:
The Council of Chalcedon said, “Similarly we promulgate, according to the teaching of the Holy Fathers, that in Him are also two natural wills and two natural modes of working, unseparated, untransformed, undivided, unmixed; and these two natural wills are not opposed to each other as the impious heretics maintained.” (Quoted from Ludwig Ott, “Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma,” Denzinger 291)
I do not share the same physical understanding you have of God ‘up there’ and ‘Jesus’ on the ground. Then again, I am a Gnostic Christian of the Apostolic Johannite Church and I read non-canonic scripture like the Gospel of Thomas in which Jesus says that the Kingdom is within you and without you:
    3. Jesus said, “If your leaders say to you, ‘Look, the (Father’s) kingdom is in the sky,’ then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father’s) kingdom is within you and it is outside you.
another beautiful verse from Thomas is:
    77. Jesus said, “I am the light that is over all things. I am all: from me all came forth, and to me all attained. Split a piece of wood; I am there. Lift up the stone, and you will find me there.”

I also believe they may have used blue tooth technology 🙂

  16. To tell you the Truth Jesus is the House of God. His Spirit dwells in Jesus Body. Jesus said; whenever I speak it is not I who speak but my Father who lives in my Body. The Father God is directly talking to us. Jesus Body was created by God to communicate with us. For He is Invisible. He used a human telephone whom we can see. Philip a disciple ask Jesus, show us the Father & this will be enough. Jesus said you have been with me for so long & up to now you don’t know me? If you have seen me you have seen the Father. Jesus is the Visible God.

  17. through Angel Gabriel…. but the christians today call that angel too as a God. it’s called the Holy Spirit….the word Holy Spirit is used for that very same angel in Quran as well, but to Muslims it’s an angel not a God…..
