How can I make my college dorm room feng shui friendly?

It is very limited on space, and most of the furniture can not be moved around. I will be sharing this tiny space with my roommate, so any advice on how to maximize good energy flow in this small area would be great! I’m taking a lot of credits next semester so any feng shui methods to promote a less stressful environment would also be appreciated.

  1. Get low couches, a low coffee table, or just have pillows on the floor.
create a study lounge ‘nook’ with the vibe of feng shui.
    Lots of candles.
You can also go to IKEA and get some circular lights that you can place through out the room.
Since you can’t paint – Purchase blank canvases and paint on them. Yahoo search Feng Shui symbols.
Find an interior design student and let her guide you. She can then put it in her portfolio.
Go to HGTV or yahoo search: Feng Shui pictures and you will get ideas.
    Have fun!

  2. from what i know about feng shui (and its very little) U should try to have your room as clutter free as possible so it doesnt block chi. Another rule is not to store stuff under your bed bc it disrupts chi flow. you are suppose to keep your bed out of sight of the door and have two night tables one each side and easily approachable from both sides (I be amazed if that can possible be done in a shared dorm room). Something else you could do is decorate with feng shui colors (ugly ones that match skin such as beige or chocolate). Apparently this gives you the best flow of energy for restorative sleep, as well as sexual healing. As for posters and pictures chose ones that you want your life to resemble (for most people thats happy stuff) or maybe someone who is successful etc.Lighting is also important. you need them from different sources like candles (without toxins), dimmer lamps, overheads.Keep windows open to let natural light in.Keep all the bedroom doors closed at night, be it the closet doors, the en-suite bathroom door or the bedroom door. This will allow for the best and most nourishing flow of energy to strengthen your health, as well as the health of your relationship. Also I heard if you want to attract love in your life you should place fresh flowers or light in the right corner of your room. Also tvs and computers are bad energy zappers, Heres a link to info about feng shui in college dorm:http://media.www.bsudailynews.com/media/storage/paper849/news/2007/12/05/Features/Feng-Shui.Your.Dorm.Room-3132355.shtml
    I hope this helps.
