How can I find a wicca mentor?

I am very determined to learn as much as I can from wicca. But due to where I live my resources are extremely limited. I have read multiple books and have searched endlessly on the internet for guidance and help. But I do not feel that this is helping me reach my full potential for my wicca studies. Therefor I ask for someone who would be willing to help and guide me with energy working and as well with basic question’s or issues that could arise during my learning experice.

  1. 1)Ignore the fundies saying you’ll go to hell and are opening yourself up to demons. They don’t believe in either.
2)Get the book: Wicca, a Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham (Amazon.com used books is a great resource)
3)Avoid Silver Ravenwolf, DJ Conway and most Llewellyn books
4)Do NOT pay for lessons over the internet. You can’t ask for references. Do NOT give out personal information to anyone over the internet. Get a PO Box.
    5)www.witchvox.com http://wicca.timerift.net
6)Learn and keep learning about various paths in paganism.
7)get the book: “Drawing Down the Moon” by Margo Adler (an older book that’s a little dated, especially concerning Asatru but a good resource) – it gives an overview on a lot of pagan traditions.
8)I’m not a good resource beyond these suggestions. I haven’t been a Wiccan since 1992 and I left Heathenism a year ago.

  2. There probably is someone in your area. Go to http://www.witchvox.com and search your state/city for people and groups. Anyone with integrity will not mentor you unless you are 18. There are online courses, but be careful. Many are just out for your money.

  3. My mentor was a born pagan who was the one who introduced me to it when I was 12. She gave me books, taught me the history and beliefs. I’m not sure where you’ll find one, I was just friends with mine. Trying going on Wicca dedicated websites and asking around a bit for people in your area who might be willing to show you the ropes.

  4. First decide which you want to study, Wicca or energy working.
Until you pick which one you’re really studying, you’re not going to find a person to help you.
