No, but I have planted a few with tenderness.
Yes I have. I’ve kissed the ground and danced naked in the rain also. Although there was this one tree that was too large for my arms to go around so I had my children help me hug it. It was a memorable experience. And they never let me forget it.
During the course of an initiation I may or may not have hugged a tree. 😉
I am sworn to secrecy. I must never divulge the proceedings of that sacred ceremony … which may or may not have included the hugging of trees.
OK! OK! So I hugged a few trees!
Don’t tell ’em I told!
i love trees, i think they have been here sooo long they must have figured our the recipe for living. i hug trees all the time. one of my goals in life is to one day go and hug a redwood tree. in the pictures they are enormous and i just want to see one before i die. kinda like seeing the ocean.
to trees everywhere….(HUGS!)
no, they bite
I sure have. The last time I recall doing it was approximately 2 years ago. I was staying at a hostel in California and it was part of an assignment for my Certified Interpretive Guide training.
No, it sounds great though, I really like that idea- the tactile thing. I’ve seen arboretums where kids touch stuff- animals, plants, etc.
I think it’s a great idea for kids- adults too.
I shall try it, but with my luck, I’ll probably get the one the dog just pissed on.
Yes I have, at an outdoor party. I was a little off balance and hugged the tree for support.
Yes, I have. I was with a group in training at an Audubon Center and we hugged a tree. I was 13 and it seemed kinda silly.
yes…yes i actually have……
only to tear it out of the ground
