Go for it straight. You are lucky to have faith on something
beyond material. I am sure you”ll be glad you choose this path.

I wouldn’t be asking the Internet whether I should believe in this or that. A belief is a personal choice, not something to cast out in the form of a question over the net like it’s nothing. If you’re going to search for a faith (I abhor the term ‘religion’), study the FOUNDER of the religions you’re looking into. Don’t merely open one internet site or book and think you’ve learned it all; you want to be a Buddhist? Research the man who began it! You want to be a Christian? Research Jesus Christ! You want to be a Wiccan/Pagan?… Read more »

The most important things to consider are rites of passage and pastoralism. Emotional support and spiritual growth are important parts of faith, and spiritual paths with a long continuous tradition have these because they’re tried and tested. For instance, you need emotional support when you’ve lost a loved one, you want a new child to be welcomed into your community or you might want help to decide which way your life should go or how to respond to financial difficulties. I know a number of pagans, though i am of course a Christian myself, and for me the important contrast… Read more »

This is not something to be played around with. I used to ‘dabble in a little Wicca’ and I paid the price. There is only one God and he does not appreciate it when you look to other ‘gods’ because it seems easier. I can tell you that the spells I cast worked and quickly but they eventually backfired and I was paid with miserable consequences. It is not worth it. I hope you don’t have to learn the hard way like I did.

Asking that here is only going to get you lots of Christians telling you it’s wrong wrong wrong! with lots of bible quotations. I’d say go for it. The various forms of paganism correspond better with reality, what with their connection with nature, and they seem to create well-balanced nice people. I know a few Druids and like them very much.

No one can tell you what belief system to follow religion is a PERSONAL choice and decision, I would say it would be good just to learn about all the religious beliefs throughout the world, so that you have a better understanding based on cultures. The one great thing that can and will be gained is knowledge. So in my opinion learn about it read about it, then make the decision whether or or not to follow it.

No. What makes you think that there’s a god, or anything supernatural for that matter? Have you ever considered that you might be a bit gullible? If I were you, I would think seriously about why you pursue these kinds of things.

The “supernatural” is the natural not yet explained.

It’s your choice. Asking this on Y!A is a bad idea, since you will get tons of answers going all different directions. You are going to have to research what’s out there, preferably several other belief systems as well, before you make a choice. There are a lot of religions and beliefs out there, don’ settle until you’ve found one where you don’t have to ask if it’s a good choice.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your god will drive out those nations before you. The New Testament also condemns such practices (Galatians 5:20). In the city of Ephesus many who were practicing in the occult became believers in Jesus Christ and renounced their occultic… Read more »

No, this spirititually speaking, be like a graduate student chosing to become illiterate. Pagan worship is simply turning back to forms of worship that died out because they were based on ignorace. Mankind has moved on and God has revealed details about his requirements since then. Pagan worship is increasingly popular today, with people turning to a panthenon of ancient gods; but what proof do we have that these gods are anything but the figment of someone’s imagination? How can we check the accuracty of any ancient manuscripts that convey the stories about their activities? How reliable (or even tracable)… Read more »
