  1. 2Kings 13:21 –
As they were burying a man, behold, they saw a marauding band; and they cast the man into the grave of Elisha. And when the man touched the bones of Elisha he revived and stood up on his feet.
Let me know when modern medicine can pull THIS ONE off….

  2. Probably many.
there is a proven relationship between the mind and the body. A more positive attitude does improve health. Stress reduces it.
However, it is also proven that prayer by other people does not help.

  3. No one has recorded proof , just testimonials, because the believers believe God cured them and the non believers don’t. I mean if a tumor was there on an xray and you come back to have surgery a few days later to have it removed and it’s completely gone, IT WAS GOD!! even though the doctors may say, “we must have made some mistake”, they probally didn’t , IT WAS GOD !! There are many in the Bible.

  4. As a Reiki Master, I can tell you that a combination of light meditation and Reiki have been shown to work wonders for ailments, both physical and emotional. “Reiki” translates to “Universal Life Force”. In directing Reiki, the Universal Life Force (energies) are channelled into the person needing help. A combination of needed medical attention, prayer and Reiki has been known to work wonders.

  5. Earlier this year, while taking a PE class at the local community college, I started having weird chest pains while running. Instead of getting stronger, I was becoming weaker and weaker. It was painful to try to draw a deep breath. I didn’t stop excercising, but I found that it was hard to even go on the elliptical machine on the “2” setting.
As the months progressed, I developed severe arthritis in my hands and feet. It began to affect my elbows and shoulders, and back. It was agony! Sometimes I wished that I could just detatch my hands from the rest of my body. It got to the point that I could not grip anything, and I could not bend my thumbs and forefingers. There were times that I would just lie awake and cry, and wish that I could fall asleep so that I wouldn’t feel it anymore. OTC anti-inflammatories seem to work somewhat, but then I found I gobbling them like candy in order to keep the pain down.
I was extremely fatigued, especially the last couple of months. After losing my job, I found myself sleeping 12 hours+ a day, not out of depression or laziness, but I just needed to sleep, even with all that I had to do on a daily basis.
Well, I don’t have health insurance. I was out of work for two months this summer–a month after graduating from school, then subsequently getting a job only to be laid off 3 months later. Because of my financial situation, I could not go to a doctor. Now that I think about it, maybe it was another of God’s blessings that I lost my job. I needed the time to deal with whatever was wrong with me. (I am pretty sure it was an auto-immunity condition. My family is prone to it.)
I did two things: I had my husband pray over me and give me a blessing. We had only been married a couple of days, and it was a very spiritual experience to have him do that.
I then had a nagging feeling that I could do something to help myself. But the only thing I could think of to do was to radically change my diet. That I did. I consumed only fresh fruits and vegetables, in generous amounts, for about 6 weeks straight. Then I began to add fish two times a week. Then brown rice and a potato twice a week. No caffeine, or sugar, or other starches.
Well, the arthritis is completely gone, and I have a lot of energy. The chest pains are still with me, but not as bad.
I’ve definately begun to slip on my diet (I’ve started to add chocolates lately–sigh!) but I think it was the best thing I could have done. It really worked.

  6. I don’t know where to find a specific recorded case, but in my church (I am LDS) the men hold the priesthood, and, if they are worthy, are able to administer blessings. I have seen and heard throughout my life hundreds of examples of people being healed through the power of the priesthood. They’re miracles.
“Mary Redshirt” who answered above talks about this very kind of blessing.

  7. My most recent example is a person who was taken off life support and started breathing and getting better. Everyone in our prayer group had been praying for her daily. The doctors said that there was no hope. She would be dead in less than a day. She is on her second week and continues to make progress. This is nothing short of a God given miracle.

  8. Testimonials and recorded cases of meditation benefit are well known.
Here are some articles about the benefit in practice of Falun Gong meditation.

Falun Gong was found in 1992 by Master Li Hongzhi in China. About 100 million followers like the practice in over 80 countries worldwide. Falun Gong is an ancient practice for the body, mind, and spirit based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises.
Falun Gong, Tibetans, other Buddhists, and Daoists have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China. Can you kindly sign a petition to stop persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, please ?
