Has anyone read A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle?

I was wondering if anyone has read “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle and what your opinons of the book were? Thanks!

  1. I have read “The Power of Now.”
But I have not read “A New Earth.”
It is time for me to get busy .
The greatest goodness is a peaceful mind.

  2. I am currently reading A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. I’m halfway done with it and so far I think it’s a really good book to have. It has alot of truthful insights and I’m looking forward to finishing the book. You will be able to relate much of what he says to your own personal experiences in life and you can relate it to those around you too. Overall it’s worth taking the time to read.

  3. I recently read “A New Earth” and found it to be a very profound description of the human condition and a precise guide for those who wish to embark on a path of spiritual enlightenment.
I have attained an inner peace that had previously eluded me because I was a person who was possessed by my thoughts. Like a 24-hour movie marathon, events of my past and worries of the future played endlessly, to the point that physically I was exhausted and found no rest or solace in sleep. I had isolated myself from my friends and family because I was filled with such unhappiness and did not know what to do, that I had nothing substantial to offer them.
This book was introduced to me at the absolute perfect time because I was mentally and spiritually in the right frame of mind to receive every word, which I absorbed as though I had been without water for years. This book was easy to understand because he breaks down the ego to its barest existence. I was able to see why I have moved through the world as I have, why I have made the choices which allowed me to suffer unnecessarily and why I chose the relationship paths that I did. I learned through this book that I was my own greatest obstacle, and that the only way to live in my true purpose is to be present at all times, to be alert and aware when my egoic mind attempts to take over, and to live every minute of every day as it comes with acceptance, enjoyment and enthusiasm.
This has allowed my mental madness to cease and in the quiet of a room, I am enveloped in stillness. There is true joy in just being-and I am grateful to have learned that from Mr. Tolle. Thank you for allowing me to share.

  4. I am really having a hard time with it and would love to talk to others about it.
I got it on cd as well so i could listern to it in the car but I just don’e seem to have had any aha moments yet but i will keep going.
