Wiccans/Pagans: I feel like being nocturnal, and I'm drawn to the Greek Goddess of the night, Nyx?

Merry meet,
So, I'm 13, and I've always felt drawn to the night. The sun annoys me. I like cloudy days better than sunny ones (the only exception is if I'm at the beach)...But yeah. My friends think it's kind of weird and so do I (so I'm starting to think it's a spiritual thing). Over the summer I'm probably gonna become nocturnal or at least half nocturnal...
And when I get a job when I'm older I'm going to get a night shift.
Anyways, my love for the night is making me want to worship the Goddess Nyx. (I'm studying Wicca right now so I'm thinking having Nyx as my matron and Erebus as patron)...So any advice on this?
P.S. Please no one preaching to me unless it's pagan ministering...because IT WILL NOT CHANGE MY MIND. (I apologize for the caps, but it seems I can't get my point across to some people).
Thank you and blessed be.

I have no idea who Nyx is, but it sounds fun. Go for it.

I can relate to you. I love the night, too.
Well, think about patrons. Remember, Wicca is a religion of balance and fertility, and I think you completed the fertility part since these two had children (I remember they were married and had children), but the balance needs working on (Nyx was the goddess of night, Erebus the god of darkness). Don't name your patrons so fast. They will find you soon enough.
My patron goddess is Artemis (Don't know if that's relevant).
Blessed be, Angel 🙂

You actually sound as if you have a disorder known as S.A.D. or Seasonal Affected Disorder. Where you are dramatically being effected by the weather, seasons, day light, etc.
That's the first part of my answer. Now to the core of your question.... I've been Nocturnal for most of my life too. And getting the mind, body, friends and family to accept it is a total challenge. Be sure to take Vitamin D supplements though. As your body won't be producing enough without proper exposure to daylight. Drink some extra milk and dairy products at night and that may be enough.
Other wise, join us who come alive and awake at night... side note; There is nothing more Spiritual for me, then watching the light drain from the sky and the world becomes drenched in Eternal Darkness.... Didn't you know that the official start of every new day is at 12:01 midnight!... while it is still dark!

Wicca worships gods of the British Isles, Lord and Lady of the Wica. So what you're into isn't Wicca 😉 I recommend looking into Hellenismos for ideas and information on the Greek deities and Greek worship. I'm sure there are Homeric or Orphic Hymns to Nyx around somewhere, and I highly recommend reading the vast amount of lore available to Hellenic Pagans. Take a jump off from the Theoi Project and go from there.
"Matron" doesn't mean what you think it means. "Patron" is the appropriate word whether one's deity is male or female. A patron isn't someone you choose, it's a god who chooses you to be in service to them. Having two is not particularly common. It actually sounds like it would be tiring so I wouldn't recommend it.
As an aside, remember that Wicca is a fertility religion. If you're taking your bare-bones ritual framework from Wicca, know that the roles you're placing gods into are ones of lovers. Often this is very inappropriate so you should think carefully before doing this. I highly recommend looking into how Nyx was honoured historically and how Greek ritual works. There's all this stuff about Miasma and so on that's terribly important to acknowledge.
Read read read! Read the lore and read about Hellenic rites. Approach the goddess humbly and with an appropriate offering. Start with the link below. It has every primary source's information about Nyx.

Your preference for night isn't uncommon for teens and is something you will likely grow out of. I too was one who was a night owl in my younger years and could sleep all day - I'm totally the opposite now. As much as I still like the night, many nights I can't stay awake past 11 and I wake up with the early morning sun ready for the day.
My advice on patron gods is not to be in a rush feeling you have to name them. Your patrons will choose you when the time is right. You could certainly pay tribute to particular gods/esses you have an affinity for though, but keep learning all the mythology you can so that you will be better able to recognize the call of patrons who may choose you. And don't just focus on one aspect (such as night without day). Wiccans celebrate the seasonal cycles of the year and strives to live in harmony with the natural cycles of the earth. Just keep studying. You have much to learn.

Some people are naturally nocturnal. It is not a thing of religion or spirituality or anything. It is just the way we are. I myself is a Christian and a naturally nocturnal person and I have only discovered it when I was in high school. I am more alert during the night, I also eat more food and my senses are a lot keener during those times. Now that I am working, I always make sure that I get the graveyard shift and so as my boss because he noticed that I am a lot more productive during the night.
But of course be sure that you really are naturally nocturnal before you try to change your daily lifestyle.

Do you think this way out of your own eyes or the house of night.

Merry meet! I have been intrested in wicca for about 10 years and have worshiped Gia and Nyx for most of this time. My problem is that thier is no one in my area that i have found who worship my Goddess' also. So i have had to make my rituals work as best i can with my only guidence as the Goddess' themselves, and the few books i have managed to find who actully print the rituals. I would like to meet with others who worship the Goddess' and i would also like to learn more about my Goddess as i feel particuly drawn to Nyx. If anyone would like to get in contact please find me on facebook or e-mail me.
