Why do people think God is speaking to them when they get an idea from their subconscious mind? Why not accept
the common-sense answer, instead of making up a wild story about a mysterious unknown unseen unreasonable unrealistic God?
Logic, The Devils Tool!
god is within us all, we dont need to look any farther than ourselves to find the wonders of the divine
of course, its good to see the beauty in things beside oneself too.
Just because you think God is unrealistic, doesn't mean He doesn't exist. Why don't you let people believe what they want to believe and stop being so judgemental?
well...where do we get original ideas? do they just, what, appear in our brains? is it a genetic thing?
what exactly is the "common sense" answer?
Mostly it is because of delusions of grandeur.
This is your opinion. This is your concept. Thank you for sharing. Some people prefer the spiritual approach. It is just a shame when it is used to manipulate and get away, quite literally with mass murder.
Ask George Bush.
He insists he talks to God regularly for military advice. http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1586978,00.html
George Bush: 'God told me to end the tyranny in Iraq'. The President told Palestinians God also talked to him about Middle East peace.
White House denies Bush God claims
And which story do we believe here???
The President Who Talks to God ... Hello? Hello?
"Bush closed the session by reportedly testifying to having a very close relationship to God. 'I trust God speaks through me,' he said. 'Without that, I couldn't do my job.'"
He said of his father, 'He is the wrong father to appeal to for advice. The wrong father to go to, to appeal to in terms of strength.' And then he said, 'There's a higher Father that I appeal to.'"
Knowing Mr.Bush's penchant for flashing the sign of Satan, I wonder just which father he is referring to!
"the President said to then-Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, "God told me to strike Al Qaeda and I struck, and then he instructed me to strike Saddam, which I did."
The BS goes on and on and on.
Many people DO have spiritual and divine revelations that could definitely have a spiritual source. However, I tend to have problems with Bush's claims. How can a man of "God" send people to "kill" for the God of love? It doesn't compute.
Which leads me to wonder his validity in everything he says. Well, to be honest, I know his track record as a truthsayer does not exist. So, does he lie about speaking to the
OMGosh... he might not be telling the truth about ANYTHING!
But then, they say the Pope speaks to God regularly and therefore we are supposed to believe everything he says because he is "infallible".
And we all know what a crock that is.
Oh, it makes more sense to think that this idea just came from nowhere. Created from nothing. Where did you get that idea?
They are not logical, it's completely based on emotion.
"There are only two things that are infinite in the world; the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."
Because our humanity is composed of two parts, physical and spiritual (three if you separate soul and spirit)
The conscious and subconscious are a part of the non-physical or spiritual makeup of a person (human). And no it is not a "part" of the brain, it is just "processed" through the physical gray matter.
Because a Christian knows that God does speak to them....that's why *smile*.
Because He is speaking to them. He's not mysterious or unknown.
The unbeliever doesn't understand this because they have not experienced Him.
If you confess your sins and invite Him into your heart then you will know the truth and it will set you free from what the devil is wanting you to believe.Resist the devil, and receive Jesus Christ Today!
For someone who is trying to appear sensible and logical on this answers page, your 360 certainly doesn't paint that picture. Oh! that just popped into my mind.
