They are both mysticism.
Both deal with belief.
Both are actually missionary faiths but Buddhism doesn't seem like it a lot.
Both include the concept of an afterlife although different.
Thats all I can think of right now.
they both have a god.
1, there both religions
2, there both followed by small minded people that would rather be lead blindly by there fears like a bull by the nose till death than face the reallity that we're all there is??
Is there any similarities between God and Idol? The only thing they have in common is followers or worshipers.
Buddhism is really an atheistic religion devoted to inner peace. Christianity is organized religion designed to secure its followers through constant fearmongering and overzealous self beating
All religions teach hate and intolerance.
Buddhism has no conception of the afterlife as religion perceives it. Only the individual consciousness survives and it reincarnates a short time after death.
Buddhist also do not worship Buddha. He is not a God, or a savior of any sort. Sidartha Buddha is one of many teachers, and "buddha" just means enlightened one. Anyone can become a "buddha".
Buddhists also do not believe in a God. They are atheistic.
Buddhism is about inner peace and attaining an enlightened state so as to be above suffering. Christianity deals with worshiping a God to get into heaven and avoid eternal damnation.
None that I know of. Christianity is all about salvation thru the Lord Jesus Christ and loving one's fellow man.
Buddhism is all about reaching some kind of personal heaven. Salvation is attained not thru the heavenly father's love. Christianity is a quest to find God. Buddhism is a quest to be God.
Both of them identify the fact that all men are spiritual beings and have an inner need.
One of them is the answer to that need. The other isn't.
The only similarity I can think of is that both seek a peaceful existence.
nothing but one leads you to eternity with Jesus while the other to a Christless eternity
Both preaches peace and humanity
Both describes simple way of living
Both basic belief is GOD in one
