last night was really scary. i went to sleep and around 4:30am my brain woke up and my eyes opened wide awake. my body became extremely heavy as if something or someone was holding me down, and then i saw this object appear in front my face, of a girl with blonde curls, the image lasted for about 50 seconds. and the pain/pressure lasted nearly two-three minutes. i got really freaked out and started cursing and it just got worse, the pressure was so bad my eyes started to water. the more i cursed or said god, it just got worse. what does this mean?
what i heard:
i heard that it means your spirit has exited your body and is floating around the room carelessly so you can't feel your body and you become paralyzed. but that doesn't explain the pressure. or the image in front of my face.
I KNOW I WASN"T DREAMING BTW. my friends have had the same experience. and no one was home with me when this happened. my friends have felt the pressure but not seen a image.
i don't want it to happen again! 🙁
what the hell should i do?

I also have sleep paralysis. I've found that there is no cure for it. But it does help to sleep in a room with noise(keep your t.v. on when you sleep). I've had it ever since i can remember, but its still just as scary now as it was the first time i had it(i always think i'm not going to wake up and regain control of my body). What is actually happening however, is that the part of the brain that makes you not move around while sleeping(like how you don't move your legs when running in a dream) is still on; and the hallucinations are attributed to the paralysis, during which your mind is freaking out! Your lucky you can scream though, i cant even do that, my eyes are the only thing that work.

Some people who has experienced sleep paralysis also sees hallucinations. I experienced it too, I got scared and tried researching. Try wikipedia. It helped me a lot. Once I knew what it was I learned not to panic when it happens, just relax and do what Uma Thurman did in Kill Bill. Wiggle the toe 😀 It works for me. And BTW, when you "wake up" during this sleep paralysis thing, you are still dreaming.

Modern Western medical thought says that sleep paralysis occurs when the brain awakes from the REM state, but the body is in a state of paralysis, which they say prevents the body from manifesting movements made in the subjects dreams and causes hallucinations, mostly of "evil presences in the room". Yet they freely admit that very little is known about the physiology of sleep paralysis and that this is at best, a guess. There are several problems with this theory. One is that it is generally accompanied by the sense that there is something evil in the room and if it were only the result of people dreaming, even though their body is still asleep, why isnt there more people reporting all kinds very different dreams as you would expect, as opposed to almost identical experiences with this evil. The same story, the same feeling, and sometimes the same entity are being described by people who have had no contact with one another, or have ever heard of SP before. I think it is helpful at this point to hear what other cultures have believed about SP for hundreds of years.
In Persian culture a ghost-like creature
Malay Peninsula they are reported as demonic figures.
In Tamil and Sri Lankan a "ghost that forces one down".
In the Muslim culture jinns or demons
In Ethiopian culture some form of evil spirit.
Zimbabwean Shona culture some spirit–especially an evil one
In Greece and Cyprus, a ghost-like creature or Demon
Yoruba of Southwest Nigeria demon
In Malta, folk culture attributes a sleep paralysis to ghosts
In Iceland folk culture A goblin or a succubus
In Chinese culture, "ghost pressing on body"
Vietnamese culture, "held down by a ghost
n Hmong culture, or "crushing demon
In Cambodian, Laotian, and Thai culture ghosts.
But don't worry, it can be fixed. Jesus has given us power over all demons, if you call (or think, if you are unable to speak) upon the name of Jesus Christ, the demons will have to flee.
It actually works, testimonies here: http://stopsleepparalysis.org/stories.html
Give it a shot, it won't hurt 🙂

One night i was falling asleep and like about a couple mins. later not even that, i just felt the hardest bone on my back like it was someones butt like someone was sitting on me, it was like i was paralized the only thing i could move was my head and eyes other than that i couldnt move at all i tried to move but i just couldnt it frustrated me so i just kept trying and trying, after that it went away then the next day/morning i told my mom about it she said it happened before to her friend and its called ''Witch Riding Your Back'', so ever since then i sleep with my t.v. on and kinda loud to or at a mid. volume.

That was the most scariest thing I have ever experienced! I was about 12 years old when it happened, I was asleep on my stomach and I just woke up or I thought I did and I couldn't move! I can see something on my back and I know it's there and it looked like a witch or demon like and it was moving around behind me laughing. This has been worrying me forever. Until now I thought I was the only one, I thought I had been cursed!

One morning i was asleep on my bed (mind you this isnt the first time this happened to me but its the worse of them all) and opened my eyes but apparently i was still asleep. I could see everything in my room.. it was a song playing on my tv..something about hell in it (i cant exactly remember the words) and also in could kinda see spirits in the corner of my left eye. I tried several times to get up but it didnt work..after a long while i was able to get myself up.. i was very scared and i wanted to pray to God this never happens again. Of course, it happen again this time holding me down for a minute and no music or spirits. Every since i was a child my parents would say its a "head" riding you.. known as a demon. I was told you should sleep with a broom beside you to prevent it from happening.

I have been experiencing this my entire life as well, and it's gotten so scary that I think that one day...I won't wake up. I. can't sleep now because of it, but see the crazy thing about my experience is that everything is always vivid and frightening. It has gotten to.the point where I know it's about to happen and when it does, it feels like I'm having a seizure or something. Some nights I just sit up wondering what God is trying to relay to Me. It doesn't matter how I lay, it always occurs when I'm sober, and it almost feels demonic, but I won't give evil The Glory. IDK...I'll have to speak w/ my doctor ASAP!!!
