Reincarnation: could you choose an earlier time frame?

What if you wished to live a life in an earlier time on earth, say the days of early Celts or the days of knighthood and castles, or even to be one of Jesus' followers? Could you petition God to send you into one of those earlier eras, even if you weren't anyone famous, just someone in the crowd?

Born again does not mean reincarnation.
Yashua was talking about being resurrected at the end of all things. At that time, if you believe in His sacrifice for you - (His paying for your sins) - and accept His offering, then you will be reborn into an extra-dimensional spirit body.
That's the REAL beginning of life. This strange place we inhabit now is the result of the children of God telling their father that they didn't want His help. Fine job we're doing on our own, eh?
No, I'd never come back to this earth - even if reincarnation were real. I'd want to go onward to bigger and better things.

The concept of reincarnation would not cover that. Sorry.
Remember, if you want to go back in time, you also lose the tremendous advancements in medicine. I wouldn't want to live in the past.

In the context you mention probably not. However, in Buddhist thinking its not impossible.

Yeah, Gim is right.
And you don't get to pick when or where you are born again. Nevermind what you're born as.

Excellent question. One to which I don't have a definitive answer.
My belief is that anything is possible when we are dealing within the realms of the Divine and Eternal. We already know that time travel is a reality. There's an abundance of material floating on the Web about it, although governments won't release this info to the world.
I've reached a point where I don't readily accept anything as definitive anymore. Why? Well, people in the past thought what they knew then was ALL there was to be known. And we all know how that turned out. The Flat Earth theory, the Earth is the center of the universe, humans will never be able to fly. Can you imagine what the implications of bringing back in time, say to the time of Christ, something like what we are using to communicate right now would be? I'm pretty sure almost 100% of the people of ancient times as we currently know them would go completely berserk at the mere thought of using or having something like the Internet.
What was once thought impossible is now possible and common knowledge to most human populations in this world.
Could we petition God to send us to an earlier time? I'm sure we could. Now, God actually agreeing to this is another story. Could we handle such a thing? Could people in the past handle us coming back? Would this serve a purpose of any kind at soul level for all involved?
In any case, I was watching a show on the History Channel the other day that shows ancient art in Peru, Central America and other parts of the world that depicts what looks to be modern airplanes and even a space shuttle. Now I ask you and everyone else: how did THAT get in there? LOL
Are these images the same as they were before? Or could it be that we are already time traveling but this has been kept secret from the masses? Like... the images aren't old, they are new. They are depicting now what just happened back then through our time travels.
I know this is kind of "out there" for most people. But I'm not part of the "most people" frame of mind.
There's a LOT more I could talk about. But I'll keep myself from doing it not to be off topic here.
In summary: I believe ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is possible. That's my bottom line.
Love and blessings to you!

It would only be about the things that are real so you would not have the consciousness that you have now, but you would be under the influence of the times you are in. The only things you would have access to from your 'being' would be the Love, peace, joy, chaos, distractions, and other personality traits that you have now. But you would not have the consciousness of things outside yourself. Memories are just things. Love is substantial. Things don't go with you, only what is substantial. The whole point of each of the lives we live is to awaken those attributes of our nature that are real, substantial, the stuff of God.

It is not left our choice or wish, it depends on our deeds of this and previous birth that decides the type of rebirth.

In the seth series by Jane Roberts, seth explains how the soul can incarnate back or forward through time.It is even possible to occupy the same time frame more than once at a time.Which means that some of the people you meet are you.Seth calls them counterparts.Reincarnation was a christian belief until by heresy it was edited from the bible.
I have made a youtube video explaining it. if you enter daveawake and reincarnation for christians you should get me.So god bless you and god bless me that i think is you.

Hi there!
I am afraid the boomarang that I threw in a former life will return and hit me in my new life!

There is a theory that you can go back to anytime forward or backward as afterlife has no time frame only the living do.
however its said that you base this on the lesson learnd
i you are void of all ego so you dont just pick some rockstart you base it on "can i learn something new from this role" which why one can not relive the same person and also why we forget when we are born because its quite possible you coudl be reborn as your neighbor or someone you know... however being born as somone within your old timeline is quite rare from what i understand.
there are some people who can "deja vu" ing your previous life.... remembering events you never took part in a ump or scar that maybe were a birth defect or "birthmark" that actully is a remanant from a former life.
speculation of course seeing how im not dead yet but i read this and somehow it made sence to me.

i think time is linear. a straight line going only "forward". if some one goes back in time, or some how jumps in to the future, then every thing, the entire universe, would have to follow back or for ward in time all at the same time. and what if one person goes back in time and another goes in the future? which way does the universe follow? or do you go in to a past that isn't really the past, but a differrent dimension that mimics down to the last detail every thing that ever happened in the past? and the same with the future - you don't really go in to the future, but a different dimension that mimics the future down to the last detail? other ways every thing would get all messed up. the past woud be changed, the future would get screwed up - and never mind killing your grand father in the past - what if you met a woman in the future and unbeknownst to you she was your great great great great great great grand daughter, and you went out with her, the two of you got drunk, and well.... i dunno. this stuff gives me a head ache.

I'm will NOT be part of the future in my next life. I don't wan't to deal with any global warming mumbo jumbo or robot uprising. I just want to come back to this life and help myself. In other words; be reborn into 1988 as my twin sister (who doesn't even exist in this reality) and see how bad my Autism really was.
