Meditators: What do you personally get out of meditation? Do you need scientific research as validation?
I am doing a research paper on meditators and why they meditate. I am wondering what meditators get out of meditation and whether they need science to prove meditation's benefits in order to validate their practice.

It lowers my blood pressure when I do it routinely and keep to dayly schedual. It also helps me to relax quicker to enable to go to sleep better. I feel much more refreshed when I keep to a routine of meditation in my life.
