How many hours does it take for the person to wake up after being put to sleep by applying total anesthesia in an operation?

depends on when the anesthesiologist gives them the antidote to help them wake up, usually no more then 1 hour. As soon as it is injected the patient starts to come around. More often then not, quicker then that. But at least 1 hour to be fully awake.

It depends on what they use and how much. I've seen people come awake 10-15 minutes after an operation. I've also seen them keep a friend under for 8 days. This was so he wouldn't move and start internal bleeding again. You need to talk with the doctor about this.

It mainly depends on the dose of anesthesia given to the person according to the requirement of the treatment. It takes minimum 2 hours for the patient to regain consciousness.
