Have you ever felt like you were vibrating in your sleep.?

I like exploring the world of dreams, and have enjoyed lucid dreaming in the past. I have also noticed that I often find my self in sleep paralysis and sometimes my head feels like its tingling and I feel this whooshing sounds all around me. Sometimes its inaudible voices, I have heard it is just the transition from the subconscious to the conscious. Anyways my mom claims that my dad was vibrating in his sleep, I have also felt like I have vibrated uncontrollably in the past. There are no weird paranormal occurrences in my house, do you think this is a paranormal problem or something that can be explained in another manner. I've read that you can induce OBEs from sleep paralysis and vibrations are often a product of the spirit seperating from the body. However is this feeling of vibration only felt within the mind of the dreamer or is it actually a physical vibration?

i don't know. if your mom says she's seen your dad "vibrate" then i'd imagine it's physical. i've heard the inaudible voices before and had those same feelings, but never vibrating.

Sleep paralysis does induce OBEs and vibrations are part of this, but it's a neurological condition. It happens in your brain; it doesn't have anything to do with "souls" separating from bodies.
Sleep paralysis also is connected with narcolepsy, so you should really see a doctor about this.

I honestly don't know and wish I did because it used to happen to me for quite some time. Not for years now though. I have heard the same explanations as you. At one point I tried to go with it and astral travel, but I felt like I was going to die if I did even though the guy I heard on Art Bell's radio show said I wouldn't. I couldn't stand it. It was intense and I somehow snapped out of the paralysis. As a Rosicrucian, I don't believe the soul can actually leave the body. It is the psychic, or astral body that can leave and it stays attached to the physical body by a silver cord. Did you work the graveyard shift at the time or close to the time that happened? I felt like my brain was convulsing.

You are experiencing the beginnings of astral projection/out-of-body (OBE). There is nothing to be afraid of and you are merely being shown by the Creator there is more to life than this 3rd dimension. Indeed, from your description you are one of the lucky ones who have the ability to do this without the need of brain entrainment CD's such as hemi-sync. There are some books you could read to develop this further and increase your understanding.
Adventures Beyond the body- William Buhlman ISBN:978-006251371-7
Astral Dynamics - Robert Bruce ISBN: 1-57174-143-7

This has happened to me and it is scary, before this, I was suffering from sleep paralysis, and I think that is paranormal, or demonic, or something I can not begin to understand! The first time it happened to me i was 15, and the thing actually SPOKE to me! I felt the breath on my neck, and hands on my body, it was the most frightening thing ever, but I hadn't had any other "episodes til recently (I am 40ish)Then the whole demon thing came back, got rid of that, now this "vibrating" is happening when I try to fall asleep, I do suffer from insomnia, but mostly because I KNOW things go bump in the night, and it does NOT seem friendly, I wish I could roll with it and see what happens, but the minute it feels like sonething is on the bed or in the room, it scares the hell outta me! Anyone else had these experiences?

I have had something similar coming up lately. For some time now, whenever I fall asleep, i remain fully conscious for the first while, and have the sensation of my head vibrating violently. Sometimes very rapid vibrations, or sometimes a slower rhythm like a helicopter or machine-gun. This is accompanied by a feeling of sheer terror. I usually maintain control over my breathing even when otherwise paralyzed, and can sometimes exploit this to wake myself up (by hyperventilating) - this will repeat over and over again every time i nod off.
I can no longer sleep without the use of prescription sleep-aids. I have yet to determine if this is a side-effect of ceasing use of these .... or possibly something else entirely.

I am feeling the vibrations in the morning and sometimes I when I wake up I recieve gifts that are impossible but only to me. Like an Arizona newspaper and I live in Chicago or having my computer fixed when it was broken beyond repair. Plus lots of video with beings and orbs . Would you like to see my material. I need to research it but don't know how.

I have felt the same vibrations you're talking about, every time it starts happening I feel as if there's a nightmare coming on or something demonic, it's hard to explain but when it occurs all I can do is resist it to the best of my ability and each time I wake myself up from it. Although these "vibrations" are somewhat rare, occurring 4-5 times a year, I've been experiencing them every since I was a child, I'd say as far back as 10 years old. I very recently (2 days ago) experienced this vibration start to come on as I was falling asleep, except there was one major difference this time, I didn't resist it, I chose not to be terrified and go through it with a calm state of mind. Oddly enough I felt like I dove into something, within seconds of relaxing my body an image formed in front of me and it's as if my eyes were open (but they weren't) I saw a clear picture of what seemed like static. like the image on a TV screen when there is no available channel, except it moved as if it were liquid, it seems weird I know, but this didn't even feel like a dream, the image was incredibly clear. After a few seconds, I'm not sure how but somehow I decided that was enough and pulled myself out of it. When I woke up I could recall everything I had just seen, it felt as if I was really there consciously staring at whatever it was. Anyway next time this vibration comes on I plan of relaxing my body and going with the flow once more, this time I'm going to let it ride out even longer and see what happens. I should mention that a couple months ago I started meditating and this is the main reason why I chose to clam myself in that moment, I knew I had nothing to fear and that I was safe, which allowed to to make the conscious decision of staying calm instead of instinctively being combative and resistant as I normally would have.
