Do Christians believe in reincarnation? How else can we explain people who claim to have lived before?

There are several accounts of rebirth of children and adults who can trace back the location of their previous lives. I am a Christian and I'm facinated with reincarnation but I don't find it in Christian teachings.....)(

Most Christians do not believe in it. We can explain it that they can't actually prove they lived before. They can SAY they are reborn, but it doesn't make it fact. I can say I am immortal, but that doesn't make it fact.

you can't find reincarnation in the Bible or other christian teachings, because it's not there. the bible does talk about once a person dies, the he/she faces judgment. there is no second chance, or coming back as someone else.

probably another thing that was eliminated from the bible in the dark ages....

Whose answer will you believe? God's or man's. Search the Bible and you will find your answer.

Of course you can find it in the Bible, although they tried to erase most of it. When John the Baptist from his jail cell says " Ask if He is Elijah come back". Easy

Kathleen, people expect Jesus to come back and not believe in reincarnation, now imagine may be this is the reason they are not able to find him, he is already here and doing his work.

please avoid blanket generalizations such as "do Christians believe..." as though they are all the same.
The important question here is, "do YOU believe in reincarnation?"
You have faculties of your own that are just as capable as anyone elses... Think for yourself, please. Else you will lose your mind!!

some do some dont . we have no proofs or facts to balance it .
Reincarnation, literally "to be made flesh again", as a doctrine or mystical belief, holds the notion that some essential part of a living being (or in some variations, only human beings) can survive death in some form, with its integrity partly or wholly retained, to be reborn in a new body. This part is often referred to as the Spirit or Soul, the 'Higher or True Self', 'Divine Spark', 'I' or the 'Ego' (not to be confused with the ego as defined by psychology).
In such beliefs, a new personality is developed during each life in the physical world, based upon past integrated experience and new acquired experiences, but some part of the being remains constantly present throughout these successive lives as well. It is usually believed that there is interaction between predeterminism of certain experiences, or lessons intended to happen during the physical life, and the free-will action of the individual as they live that life.

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Jeremiah 1:4-5
Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, [5] Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
1. God already knew you before you were formed in the womb
2. Bible says, a man once to die, then judgment. Reincarnation is the belief that you are reincarnated until "you get it right." How you lived the previous life exemplifies your next life. Bible to does not support this. Once you die, your destination is sealed between heaven or hell. This Scripture supports the creation of God:
Psalm 139:14
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

I'm a Reincarnationist. With an open mind and common sense you can find reincarnation in all things.

And please read "Many Mansions", about the life of Edgar Cayce, who was a devout Christian and a Reincarnationist.
Don't listen to the noise. Listen to what you sense inside is true.
