This was on the news.
Famous Atheist Comes Back to the Faith
Teresa Neumann (June 4, 2009)
"How did materialism [secularism] account for music, or human language, or love? Such mysteries finally convinced Wilson that we are spiritual beings."
Janie B. Cheaney, writing for World Magazine, asks, "Why is religious conviction, which secularists have always advised should be a private matter, such public news? Hardly a week goes by," she notes, "without some screaming headline about major shifts in personal belief."
Case in point? Cheaney points to the recent conversion of renowned author and former atheist A. N. Wilson, a journalist famous for his novels, children's books, biographies and histories.
"Wilson noticed a difference between the skeptical and the devout," writes Cheaney. "The perception of his atheist friends seemed rather parochial and flat. And phenomena lurking outside a strict materialist system gave him pause: How did materialism account for music, or human language, or love? Such mysteries finally convinced Wilson that we are spiritual beings, and that the religion of the incarnation, asserting that God made humanity in His image, and continually restores humanity in His image, is simply true. As a working blueprint for life, as a template against which to measure experience, it fits."

I've never heard of either of them. Can't be as famous as Dawkins, Hitchens, or Harris.

Did you hear about the man who spells atheist like it's a proper belief structure?
At any rate, what does it matter if 'the most famous Atheist [sic]' came back to his faith. That's his choice. How, in any way, does it reflect on atheism in general?

Never heard of them. So neither can really be "the most famous Atheist" now can they?
And even if I had heard of them, why the hell would I care?

Once again, if you can't figure something out, it must be God. They used to apply that logic to rain.

Never heard of any of them, but what do I care if they become Shintoists or Rarámuri again?

Did she recently suffer a stroke or get a brain disease such as Alzheimer's? That might explain it.

The word of God conquers all. "The word of God is alive, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing to the dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit and the joints and the marrow and is a critic of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Amen, the word of God prevails. The science of atheism fails.

i haven't heard of these but i just recently saw a film about an atheist that tried to disprove the Bible and before he finished he was converted to Christianity Simply because he always ended up agreeing with it instead i think his name was Joe something but at the time it was not important to me i do wish i could remember now
any way don't these people know that the harder they ridicule us Christians about our faith the natural defending it comes to us keep up the good work and don't forget to tell them Jesus died for them also they just have to receive Him May God Bless !!!

I did not hear about it.But this is the climax of the sweetness of God.you know at one point we all walked after the folly of our minds, lifted up our tongues to vomit all manner of ridicule against our creator. But the scripture says in the days of our ignorance, God behaved as though he did not see,but kept on calling as to repentance and at the appointed time,we received his mercies by grace.Such stories inspires me to share the word of God the more, for one day it will not come back void, but accomplish the will of God.thank you for sharing.
