I was reading about sleep paralysis from an Islamic perspective and one lady said the following
"our souls depart our bodies during sleep"
is that true?
Yes, Quran says so.
39:42 It is Allah that takes the souls (of men) at death; and those that die not (He takes) during their sleep: those on whom He has passed the decree of death, He keeps back (from returning to life), but the rest He sends (to their bodies) for a term appointed verily in this are Signs for those who reflect.
Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim,,Allah swt can do ANYTHING..everything is easy for him...
The dream's full interpertaions are with Allah. All we can go by are Quaran, and Hadith.
Some people's dreams mean nothing at all, and some dreams have a great deal of meaning.
Allah knows best
Edited:
@ Tinker. Only Allah swt knows best, and i liked that you used Quaran, and im not saying you are wrong.
But this sura/ayat could also be talking about death-sleep.
Where the people who have died, waiting until the Last Day...they are in a sleep that Allah has careful guidence in, while the other people that have earned death, are in a different kind of 'sleep'...
Again Allah knows best...and for sure, some dreams have meaning, and Allah can do ALL things.
She believes that but I don't think so, the soul can't leave anything bcos it's not something touchable, it's like the smartness or the music, besides why would the soul leave the body anyway?
Salam,
I've been told so before as well, maybe it is true? But Allah knows best.
