Yep, I read my pages on my birthday to see how I have grown or changed. I make it a part of my birthday rite since about 3 years ago. It's refreshing to see what I have done and accomplished. I also find areas that maybe I haven't grown from and need to work on.

Yes, I had to overcome an irrational fear of Hell when I first started down my pagan path. I was not raised strict Christian, but with all the influence from the Christian majority, there is so much pressure to be Christian and the doctrine of Hell is a big part of that. I was lucky that the influence wasn't overwhelming for me and I was able to overcome it within a few years.

I think almost anyone who comes from a Christian background has some reservations as to rejecting their past beliefs. Yes, I feared going to hell (when I started my path, which was almost 10 years ago), until I continued my studies and realized that hell is just a creation used to control the masses by using their fear.
Today I no longer fear any of the Christian mythos.

Its weird. I was raised Jewish, not Christian. But the irrational fear of hell still got to me, especially when I started practicing witchcraft and became pagan. Sometimes I still think about it. But I just remind myself there is not even a possibility that hell is real. Christianity has done one heck of a job with their fear tactics.

No, I never believed in hell or religion and was a
cheerful atheist for most of my life, until one day
I began to have experiences with the Goddess
that completely changed my views.
