Does the Sun and Earth have a consciousness?

Well it has been confirmed by NASA that the sun is heating up and that there will be solar flares coming very soon. In fact there was a major one that came by that missed earth. So if there are really big ones coming could the consciousness possibly divert the flares so that the big ones do not hit us?

That is wishful thinking - you have no observatory reason to even think that something would divert these - or if these major mass ejections are really dangerous. They are not.

No. That is an insane idea.

Er, no. Neither the Sun nor the Earth have consciousnesses.

First of all, the sun produces solar flares every day all over the sun. They are caused by hydrogen plasma plumes following electromagnetic field lines in the upper atmosphere of the sun. They occasionally get fired strait at the Earth. When the particles in the plume reach Earth they are deflected by the Van Allen radiation belt, which is a kind of force field surrounding our planet. Some of this material enters the troposphere of the Earth at the poles causing the northern lights. Although the sun is entering a period of increased solar activity, it is nothing to be concerned about.
As for consciousness of the planets (Gia) and (SOL) you might want to research a concept called Monistic Idealism witch states that consciousness is the building block of reality and everything in it, not the other way around as modern science teaches. This means the universe itself is consciousness (God) and we are but part of that consciousness (We were created in the image of God). And thus, the Earth and Sun are merely aspects of our self.
