For the peopel that believe in reincarnation…if a person kills themselves, what will they come back as?

I don’t think that you get to come back as anything if you commit suicide.

if you kill yourself…your going to hell..your not coming back..

People always come back as people. Humans do not come back as animals.

Dead, sorry but I don’t really belive in that stuff if it involves suiside. I’ve always thought that if a person NATRULY died they would come back as a dog. But I don’t think you would come back as anything if you killed yourself. It kind of sounds like your a little bit suiscidal, but I imagine that if you kill yourself you wont come back

Suicide cases will come back in what ever form that will better teach them the life lessons they missed the first time around, and in order to not come back you must be fully enlightened.

I don’t exactly believe in this stuff… but…
Dante’s Inferno says when a person commits suicide, they turn into a tree in hell, because since they have given their human body up on earth, they must return as something that cannot kill itself, even unintentionally.
If a person is reincarnated again and again, they must always come back. They may never rest. Or, they must live through 5 good, great lives on earth in a row, and then they may have eternal peace in heaven.

As much as reincarnation makes sense in people’s minds and seems like a natural circle of life thing it’s just not true. Our consciousness is not something that just keeps taking us from lifeform to lifeform.
Our energy that flows through us will never go, but who we are unfortunately is only temporary.

(I’m paraphrasing from what I’ve heard from teachers regarding reincarnation)
‘A person cannot get relief by committing suicide because suicide simply leads one to take birth in a more basic species of life (i.e an animal) or to remain a ghost, unable to attain a gross material body for a potentially long duration of time.’
P.S – To ‘NOT come back’ – there are a host of views on that, but Chapter 15 of a book called “Bhagavad Gita” is a good place to start if you’re really serious about it.

Killing self is the biggest of all crimes human beings can get into. Why? It is for the simple reason human beings are not the owner of the body. Our soul atman… the spirit within is the absolute master and controller of the body and not vice versa. It is not within the capability of the human body to manifest a soul atman.
Our soul atman… the spirit within manifests the human body to work out its karma… remove the dross impurities within! Karma is the governing factor of the whole cosmos through which life moves from one manifestation to another. In absence of karma life simply could not exist in the cosmic system.
After the death of the body… our soul atman manifests a new body if matching parents are available on Mother Earth. If matching parents are not available… based on the residual balance of karma the soul atman hibernates either in heaven or hell. In Heaven if residual balance of karma is positive and hell if negative!
The manifestation of the body is primarily based on the residual balance of karma of all the previous manifestations. Every human being exists between the karmic scale of 7.300001 and 8.400000. Suppose we are born on the karmic scale of 7.400100 and we commit suicide. What if God Almighty awards a negative marking of minus thousand for such a breach of trust?
In the next manifestation our soul atman would manifest a body at the level of 7.399100… Thousand points lower than the earlier manifestation. Is this what we wanted? Suppose we were born in the house of an entrepreneur… a well established businessman. And by a negative marking of 1000 points… I may be forced a birth in the house of a cobbler… a lower level!
As per the scriptures… the Sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism… if a person commits many murders in life… it is possible that the soul atman of this person manifests the form of an animal in next manifestation. How? Human beings manifest life starting from 7.300001 and suppose I exist at 7.309100. Because of mass murders suppose I am awarded a negative marking of -50,000.
In the next manifestation my soul atman would manifest a body at the level of 7.259100… The karmic scale of which falls in the category of animals! It is not only possible… such things do happen in the cosmic system! Why commit suicide… and manifest a lower life in the next manifestation!
If we desire our soul atman does not reincarnate another body in the next manifestation we need gaining enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) in present life. We have to reach the stage of Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed.
