Even on drugs I've never experienced anything resembling astral projection? Why are people talking about it?

  1. Maybe because they’ve experienced it. This question is phrased in a somewhat egocentric manner; just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

  2. A matter of semantics.
Astral Projection – Remote Viewing (the mental kind not the satellite kind) – Out of Body Experience. Lucid Dreaming.
All the one and the same. It’s a very real phenomenon, you can do it. The drugs are actually the hard way there. For me the fastest and most reliable route is to take an afternoon nap on my back when I’m not actually all that tired. You can kind of catch and hang on to that moment in between being awake and dreaming. With practice you can stay there for seems like forever, In may case it’s about an hour of real time. As for silver lines and ribbons of life and all that.. I find that an alarm clock will bring you right on back in a hurry. It isn’t parapsychology.. just the regular kind. As for meaning… Meh.. I enjoy it and find it very relaxing.
