In the realm of human sexuality, the topic of masturbation has been subject to much speculation and debate throughout history. From ancient philosophies to modern belief systems, perspectives on the impact of masturbation on one’s inner energy, often referred to as chakra, chi, ying, or yung, have varied significantly. In this thought-provoking article, we shall delve into the different viewpoints surrounding this subject, drawing upon diverse philosophical and spiritual traditions. Prepare to embark on a journey that combines ancient wisdom with contemporary insights to shed light on the fascinating connection between self-pleasure and inner energy.

The Sensitivity of the Moment: Masturbation, as an act, holds an intimate connection with a person’s state of being. During this vulnerable moment, the individual’s entire being is open and flowing. It is crucial to recognize that suggestions and beliefs that arise during this time can influence one’s psychological well-being. The power of autohypnotic suggestions should not be underestimated, as they can manifest as illnesses and psychological problems.

The Eastern Perspective:

  • In ancient India, the significance of semen was deeply ingrained in cultural beliefs. It was believed that one drop of semen represented forty days of bodily work. Consequently, losing even a single drop was considered wasting forty days of life.
  • Various Eastern philosophies associate celibacy with the conservation and transmutation of sexual energy for spiritual purposes.

The Perils of Forced Celibacy: Contrary to the idea of natural celibacy, enforced celibacy often leads to perversion and inner conflicts. Catholic monasteries, for instance, have witnessed instances of celibates engaging in masturbation as an outlet for their repressed sexual desires. This raises questions about the viability of imposed celibacy and its potential psychological repercussions.

Unveiling the Inner Connection: An alternative approach suggests that lovemaking can serve as a doorway to accessing one’s inner energy. By engaging in sexual acts with a partner, it is possible to embark on a meditative journey where the outer woman or man becomes a catalyst for awakening the inner counterpart. The moment of orgasm, then, becomes a sacred union between the outer and inner selves, rather than a mere physical release.

The Mysterious Nature of Love: Love, an enigmatic force that defies rational explanation, plays a crucial role in the connection between outer and inner partners. When a person falls in love, it is often because the other person resonates with their inner counterpart. This unconscious recognition creates a deep bond, wherein the outer partner becomes a vessel for the inner partner. Such love cannot be intellectually dissected but is experienced on a profound level.

Insights from Spiritual Traditions:

  • Tibetan and Hindu Monks: Tibetan and Hindu traditions acknowledge the power of celibacy in spiritual practices. In these traditions, celibacy is seen as a means to harness the vital life force, known as chi, and direct it towards spiritual growth and self-realization.
  • Christianity: Christian teachings emphasize the importance of channeling sexual energy within the sacred confines of marriage. Christian traditions encourage individuals to express their sexual desires within the context of a committed, monogamous relationship.
  • Yoga and Chakra Energy: In the practice of yoga, celibacy is regarded as a means to conserve vital energy and awaken higher states of consciousness. Yoga recognises the existence of subtle energy centers known as chakras, which are believed to govern various aspects of human experience.

The discourse surrounding the impact of masturbation on inner energy is multifaceted and rooted in diverse philosophical and spiritual perspectives. While some traditions advocate for the preservation and transmutation of sexual energy, others emphasize the exploration

You are right. I am very spiritual and after 35 years and being a Hindu I have done years of research and once I didn’t masturbate for 2 months.
Even now I didn’t for a week and I had fatigue problems which was severe.
Not masturbating for a week, you will notice your energy, thinking clarity and just overall energy levels will be close to superhuman.
Another key thing which no one talked about. Luck.
You will see your luck change during abstinence. You will notice how pleasantly at most times people will speak to you.
Also masturbating is good once a week but not everyday. Most of these people writing don’t know how many chakras are in the human and which ones are where.
Through life experiences and being a devout religious Hindu, believe me

I am from India.I want to make you aware that jerking is not a good habit for your body, it does not matter less or more. And if you are awaking your kundalini or chi energy or third eye or any chakra of your body then it is very nessesery that you must save your psicic energy. Science says there is no relation between jerking and meditation but you should think that in our sperm or cum there is lots of DNA,RNA and it has the basic knowledge of all kind of structure of our body even a tiny part of our body and our sperm is the source of soul of a human body. You should think that if you waste this then you would waste the energy that your brain used to create that millians of sperm. And masterbating divert your mind to focus on your chakras. Awaking our kundalini is not that much easy that sitting with cross-leg, closing eyes and maditation. It needs discipline and in this discipline it is must that we should save our energy and for saving our energy we must avoid jerking. Thank you.

Masturbation from my personal experience affects meditation.Try to recover from it.It affects the kundalini energy. If you don’t masturbate for a year you will have more spirtuality and desire towards meditation and your kundalini energy will rise to your brain.

I saw a show on the Doctors about masturbation but it had nothing to do with spiritualism. The more you masturbate, the more you decrease your chances of getting prostate problems like cancer etc. I feel so much better after reading this. It validates what I already thought

This is what I just figured out personally…
My 2nd chakra is the one with a blockage. So, energy flows through me easily until it gets to there. Since my sacral chakra isn’t used to energy though (I have some blockages there that I have just finally felt recently) it gets over stimulated easily. So when I am doing mediation work, I instantly get aroused because my body doesn’t know how to move that energy to a grounding position in my root chakra. So, in turn it has be masturbate to get rid of the excess the energy. I already know that when I finally remove these blockages the desire to HAVE to masturbate will subside.
Now, I know that normal masturbation isn’t bad. It is a completely normal and healthy thing to do for everyone. The only time it is a problem is when the urge become so strong that it becomes distracting from other things you want to do. The funny thing though, that actually masturbating (and self love of all kinds) are really good to help clean out blockages from the 2nd chakra. So, in turn your body is asking for what it needs, but it is expelling all your energy to do it. It’s like your body’s way of saying “deal with me, we will move the feather later once we are balanced”.
I believe that the people that have to masturbate to meditate though are on the other end of the spectrum. They probably have an over active 2nd chakra that requires the excess energy there to be released before they have a good balance to meditate. This is probably someone that has a problem expelling energy equally in other chakra’s; so in turn the excess must comes out of the sacral chakra in turn making it over active. This isn’t a problem, but it is telling you to look elsewhere for blockages that can be causing a consistent need to masturbate.
So, in turn I don’t think it is a bad thing if you masturbate. I don’t think it is “pushing you back”, it is just making you deal with something that you ARE farther behind than in other things. Sure, you can move a feather, or lucid dream. Which is great. But those are only dealing with the 6th chakra or your third eye; which is probably where your pooling of energy is because you aren’t dealing with any issues with your 2nd chakra.
Set some time out to really do a masturbation, self-love meditation. This is what helped me. I sat down, and instead of rushing to orgasm, it was all about really FEELING the energy there, and allowing the energy to clear out the blockages that were preventing my energy from making it to a ground position easily. Now, someone that HAS to masturbate BEFORE they can meditate would benefit from this too, but they would follow their energy to where their actual blockages are instead of focusing it out in an orgasm.

You misspelled a lot in your article.

Well if it makes you weak and sleepy then you are master baying wrong. After master baring I use an ancient Egyptian symbol over my head to send that energy start back into my chakras. Masterbating is a great way to tell the universe what you want in life and is not a dirty act but very sacred time between you and your higher self.

danza kudoru

well it increase ur chi , opposite to your belief. i usually jerk off 5-6 times before im able to move feather with my eyes….
jerk your chi out and the fresher energy ur body generates would be more docile considering what happened to not so obedient energy… Good luck

I think it is sad the only a loving relationship should be allowed to have pleasure……and If you are alone you a destine to not release a natural desire.
We get stuck in considering issues that hurt no one. This concern leaves people with the burdened of “sin” or “loss of energy”.
God loves us and has provided us a loving world.
Interrupting our world with the minds of “men/women” , writting book with LAWS under the guize of god’s words.
I like to think that we provide God laughter at our silly antics, like a loving and supportive parent, as we learn how to live our life.

Gurmsy

Yes thats true. I also feel weak after ejakulating. Try to do it only once a month. Everbody has a personal need.

Having to much energy in your body is not good at all, what you are trying to achieve is not reached thru your current ways. I can asure you that.
Having to much energy in your body will most likely make you tense and couse a headace =)
Goodluck in finding your way, keep it up!

HELP THE PLANETLESS

Yes it does We are all born with Paternal Qi which is past on via both Parents This is meant to last for your entire life and what you describe seriously depletes this but having said that it is still better than raping someone of course
Masturbation generates a very negative energy but sex between two people who have a love for each other generates a third energy which is beneficial for both
I am impressed you have a knowledge of Qi A very excellent way to increase Qi is with Qi Gong Google Ken Cohen to learn more
Good luck

Michael

you release energy, then your body has to make more energy, so that’s why you feel wierd and stuff.

Lea R

I would think it would strengthen one’s chakra.
Just an opinion.
Why worry though?
Worring accomplishes nothing.
masturbation and sex accomplish more.

I think some past religious teachings may have made you feel this way. Meditation does increase your mind to states of heightened awareness. And when the mind is on full focus, the body pays attention and follows suit. So often people focus on the importance of acheiving enlightenment, and forget that we are human with human needs. Your body is a temple as surely as your mind is. Think of the actual act of orgasm itself: You meditate, and the energy in your body increases. Your mind becomes focused, clear, and as you meditate, your body does the same. It pays attention, it rises and focuses, and for human beings, this means sexual awareness.
I have sat down to meditate, opened my chakras and waited for my sexual urges to appear. They have never failed me. But it’s ME that decides when to release it. If you build and build and build the energy in your mind and body but give it no release, that’s not good! It’ll backfire and make you angry or moody or depressed. Masturbation is a release of the energy you are focusing in your mind that your body needs. It is a “cone of energy” and it completely beneficial to the mind AND body. Yes, you feel lethargic afterwards, but you have not lost. You have gained. Every time you meditate, you become more aligned. Every time you acknowledge your body and it’s needs, you become more aligned.
I hope this was helpful!

In Taoism, yes. Celibacy is generally highly emphasized in Taoist practices. Even the occasional practitioner is usually encouraged to avoid all sexual activity 24 hours prior to practice. Hardcore Taoists in China maintain that celibacy must be observed for years before you can really gain a deep measure of control in Chi Kung.

John H

You masturbate and you are concerned with spiritualism? A truly spiritual person probably would not masturbate. Life is short. Play hard.

Pangel - God is purple

whether it does or doesnt … as long as you are feeling about it as you do , it is going to have a negative affect anyway
if you feel it is affecting your meditation and spiritual practises , then yes it is a problem … but only on a personal lever
these questions really have nothing to do with Spiritualism though
there is nothing mentioned in Spiritualism about any of this
perhaps some Hindu can advise you better actually
they are probably the best to give advice on meditation and energies and such

Mr. Shpongadongle

You are too focused on a goal and not focused on the moment. Whether you achieve these goals through meditation or whatever means nothing. As you cultivate yourself on the path whatever you do is okay. God does not care what you do. Seriously. So try to enjoy your life a little more and be in the moment a little more. That’s what it’s about.

Snake

No. If anything, it is allowing a greater balance in your body, ya dig?

Daaim M

nope

Katie

Masturbation is good for you.

Caboose

When men orgasm, it changes up your body chemistry for a period of time. That’s all it does.
Have fun, it’s harmless.

no-
and i’m commenting with proof that chi/chakra/etc. is bullcrap.
however- you will hear this becasue fighters will say (and its an old myth) that having sex the night before a fight (boxing) reduces your drive.
there is some scientific truth to it in that masturbation and sex do have a clear calming effect. however (and this is very ma specific so i’ll be brief), this particular statement is not good since a calm and level headed fighter is better than an angry testosterone fuelled fighter- many old school fighters tend to say that when you get angry- you become a “natrual fighter” not a “boxer”- basically throwing wild blows and throwing technique and power through proper technique to the wind.
this is likely where your “chi”/chakra statement comes from so even though i don’t buy into that mcdojo spread load of mystical crap, there is a basis in reality for your statement- but it is not based upon “chi”.
chi in reality comes in two generic categories-
1- the realistic action applied to the generic term “chi”-
this would be soemthing like a person calling: adrenalin, proper form and structure leading to increased power, technique combined with physical stregth, increased cardio and health leading to better conditioning (leading to better fighting endurance), etc.
2- the other is the “magic” version which includes the below links and all that nonsense. no touch ko’s the force field chi- the entire premise of qui gong (stealing and transferring “chi”)
total bs.
the ever famous dillman and his tounge tied excuse for his no touch “chi” ko failing:

“chi” master demonstrating on his compliant students- then lets see if it works against a non-compliant opponent….

if you want to prove your “chi” exists then next time you will be in nyc message me, well try to hook up and set up where you can videotape your claims.
