EvangelistPaul raised some interesting verses, I thought I’d look them up to see if they hold any water. Galatians 5:19-20: though this appears to be condemning sorcery/witchcraft, if you go back to the original greek, what’s actually being condemned is ‘pharmakia’ – drug use. Job 4:12-21: this form of experience is firmly in the sleep paralysis / lower etheric projection overlap. You should certainly be deeply dubious of any message received from a lower etheric wavelength, but note that astral and etheric are entirely separate realms. There’s far more good and indeed Holy information in the astral. Just remember to… Read more »

Definitely not astral projection. That is going to the lowest possible level of spirit connection and the information is suspect at best.

Meditation is a wonderful way to clear the mind and help open it to many levels of understanding. The consciousness is brought to peace and allows for understanding from a spirit level.

I believe Christ meditated, so I’ve never understood the problems with meditation. If you start it by dedicating yourself and the meditation to God, and focus your mind on that.

But astral projection no.

No, Christians aren’t against meditation OR astral projection. I am a Catholic and I practice both astral projection and meditation. Many Christians believe different things and Christians don’t really talk about astral projection that much so many Christians just automatically assume astral projection is a sin. It’s actually not a sin and brings you closer to God. Many Christians call Astral Projection “occult” but know nothing about it and aren’t aware it has existed since the beginning of time and people are now actually discovering it. Many naive people actually think you soul leaves your body. It doesn’t. Your consciousness/astral… Read more »

yes. God says it is a sin.
why …
in meditation, the mind allows satan in bc it isn’t focused on God or on His Laws.

astral projection is what sorcerers do …

meditation, astral projection are part of satanism.

A voluntary out-of-body experience, or an “astral projection,” is a different story. A person trying to achieve an out-of-body experience in order to connect with spirits or the spirit world is practicing the occult. There are two forms of this. The first is called the “phasing” model, in which the person tries to find new spiritual truth by accessing a part of the mind that is “shut off” during everyday life. This practice is connected to Buddhism or postmodernism and the belief that enlightenment is achieved from looking within oneself. The other form, called the “mystical” model, is when the… Read more »

Hey, am christian and i think that too often we forget these aspects of christianity. I believe in these things but modern day xtians shun them because they are too carnal minded. I believe that God has called us to live in the Spirit in every way and this includes developing our spiritual capabilities to its fullest potential….God can do these things and He wants us to be like Him, so I think we ought to spend less time focusing on the worldliness around us and get into these things. If we perfect these things then we cannot be affected… Read more »

Astral Projection yes, meditation no.

Some will argue that meditation is against christianity but within Catholicism they do the rosary, it is quite meditative actually. If you can get by without astral projecting than go for it!
