does anyone think negative matter or negative energy exist?

as opposed to positive energy or positive matter (antimatter exist but im not talking about that)

  1. Some physicists do, yeah.
Michio Kaku talks about it in his book, Physics of the Impossible.
    It’s possible…but only theoretical today.

  2. That’d be a little weird if they did exist, but if you believe in General Relativity, and you found a “bulge” in the curvature universe (as opposed to a “hollow” caused by mass), then that would point to the existence of negative energy. While something like that could explain the acceleration of the universe, the idea of something having negative mass doesn’t make much sense.
