Do you think this is true?

If you are on the spiritual path, then what you will get is what you *need* to grow spiritually, not necessarily what you want.
By someone on the spiritual path I mean someone who puts God (or the desire for transcendence, as in e.g. Buddhism) at the centre of his/life, rather than being ego-centred.
To Danbig: what do I mean to grow spiritually? To get a greater sense of purity, harmony, a capacity for love and kindness, stuff like that. To become less materialistic and ego-centred. To tread more lightly on the earth. To get a greater sense of oneself as part of the whole, rather than an isolated, self-centred individual.
If you don’t understand that, then that’s OK 🙂
Personally I don’t believe any spiritual tradition has a monopoly on spiritual growth.
I also think there are some “atheists” who are inherently more advanced spiritually than the most strident “spiritually minded” people.

  1. I believe that one’s karma always affects and clouds ‘what one wants’ in the path. Therefore monks in Buddhism practice ‘precept’, to better focus in meditation in order to open up his wisdom. ‘What Shakyamuni taught was called ?Precept, Concentration, Wisdom.? ‘ see page #178 for details in the Zhuan Falun Lecture on the web.
When a Buddhist disciple always reads his scripture to strengthen his faith (mind), performs meditation (body and mind), improves his moral characters to become true self in purifying process (spirit), develops his compassion (spirit) toward others, weeds out bad desires (such as materialism), he’s closer to reach enlightenment. Fortunately we can study the examples in history: Jesus, Shakyamuni, … etc, and modernly from Tibetan monks and Falun Gong practitioners.
I practice Falun Gong. Falun Gong is a unique Buddhist School, but not related to Buddhism. Falun Gong teaches the universal three principles: Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and consists of five powerful exercises to improve mind, body, and spirit.

  2. I believe that your awareness is different. You begin to see everything in a different perspective. If God is the center of your life, your desires and needs will be different as you try an please God by doing what you understand God wants of you.
You will treat others differently also. It will not be a “what can they do for me mentality” but rather an acceptance of who they are and what they are saying.

  3. You are correct!! ( what I need and not what I want )
Even in spending, it is wise to buy only what you NEED, not what you WANT. Thriftiness.

  4. What do mean grow spiritually? Thats the stuff I’m always complaining about with you people. There is no growing spiritually, you are born, you live for a while, then you die. Thats the end of it. No one has ever come back from the dead and said the Christians are doing the right thing, well no one that has been documented correctly and medically anyway.

  5. True, but only someone who give themselves to God completely can truly understand this. Only those who have a Spiritual relationship understand this.

  6. No, I don’t think that just cause you’re on the path all of a sudden something new is automatically given to you. Its a path that YOU take and just like with everything else in life YOU have to do the work to get there.
However, needs and wants are often different. If by some crazy chance I’m wrong then you absolutely won’t get what you would “want” to grow, cause it might not be something that will actually help you to grow.

Third Eye Meditation

Often lots of people's third eye are not open because they are blocked. The third eye is a sixth chakra but connected to the first, second and third chakra's and blockages in this lower chakra's will also cause a blockage in the sixth. Oftentimes, the cause of blockages are fear and disbelief, though Tibetans and Indian yogis believe third eye is blocked for past life karma . Some people refuse to believe that they are blessed with a sixth sense while others are anxious of the images they might see once they have opened theirs.

Grounding energies and healing with barefoot walking

If you are walking on soft earth, the best way is to walk barefoot, no shoes. You have a tremendous contact with the earth. We belong to the earth! Half of us is part of the earth and half is part of the sky. And when you are walking in the early morning sun on the wet earth, you are enjoying both the sky and the earth. It was perfectly right!
