Do you believe the prophecies of Nostradamus to be real or fake?

  1. I don’t even know what they are … and I saw the film , must have slept throught most of it.
But I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say that we’re all a bit tired of prophecies and promises that don’t come true.
It would be nice if everything would just end once and for all but that just doesn’t seem to happen.

  2. Christmas Carol?
    Look in the real world.
Decode this lyrics ” Love this is my song”
    “Time after time”
    Luke 8.10,17
    What do you think?

  3. I think the man had a true gift. His prophecies align very closely to other prophecies had by the Hoppi Indians, and other religions.

  4. His phrases are so generic, and people argue enough about the actual meaning, that I don’t think they are real. I mean the prophecies are real, and they were written by a guy named Nostradamus, so they are real from that standpoint, but from the standpoint of usefulness, I don’t think so. Read them and tell me what will happen in the next 20 years. You probably would be unable to. But if you read them and fit them to some of the things that have already happened, then they appear more real. But the value of that is pretty low. Prophecies need to be specific enough to actually be tracked.
For instance, the legend is that the Inca calendar ends in 2011, and that will be the end of the world. That is a specific prophecy you can wait for and then see if it occurs. Do you see the difference?

  5. Prophecies are mainly a load of waffle – pay no attention. Likewise Biblical codes and such like – all just a load of crap-ola if you ask me.
Here’s my prediction for the future. At 11am this morning I will down my first pint of beer for the day.
    How about that?

  6. The trouble with the prophecies of Nostradamus is that they were written in a very obscure kind of old french which is exceptionally difficult to translate, as some of the words simply aren’t known any more. They just didn’t have dictionaries in those days. If he was the only person whose writings contain a certain word, and that word could mean a number of different things, then the prophecies can’t help being vague and unsure. This means that translators can actually choose words to suit whatever prophecy they wish he had said. As a result, deciding how accurate he was is impossible.

  7. no one prophesied their would be a guy with a stupid name making prophecies now was there,it’s a load of rubbish, make up your own and watch it come true?

  8. I do believe they are real, its just maybe he wasn’t spot on for every prediction. The reason I think it may be real is that about 10 yrs before 9/11 happened, I saw a passage in his works that when translated seemed to predict that the Twin Towers would burn, so being that this particular prediction was regarding something we actually know and can see, I highlighted the passage just so I could check back if it would ever come true…and as we all know the Twin Towers did indeed burn, and worse than we could ever have imagined.

  9. Winter solstice- December 21, 2012 – is just the revealing of the ‘antichrist’ or the ‘man of perdition’ at the mid-point of what Christians call the 7 year Tribulation (just subtract 1260 days to get the start and add 1260 days to get the end). Satanists and many pagan cultures from every corner of the world all throughout history have celebrated this like the Sumerians, Babylonians, Cherokee, Hopi, Chinese I-Ching (confirmed by Terence McKenna), Mayans (Pacal Votan; Chilam Balam of Tizimin, Mani, Chumayel; Jaguar Prophet), Egyptians, Celts, etc. This evil event is called “the abomination that causes desolation” that will be set up in the Jewish Temple’s Holy of Holies when the antichrist is imbued with the spirit of satan himself. When will Jesus come? Only God Himself knows exactly, but very soon in “the twinkling of an eye” and like “a thief in the night”. If you believe or not, that is up to you; either way it still comes.
Things to look for to PROVE it to yourself soon:
    >Fall of America as an economic power and other ways. The buying up and consolidation of powerful banks and corporations by the government in a pretend “bail out” power grab to kill the U.S. dollar and bring in a one world currency.
Crash of other American banks and the nation’s financial underpinning: Operation Sitting Duck
    >The Big One: Revelation 18. America goes down on the list of fabled societies nobody believes in any more like Atlantis, Mu, Lemuria, Hyperborea, etc..
    >Martial law. (Google some of Bush’s executive orders concerning it- Nightmarish!)
    >The fallen ‘alien’ agenda: Implementation of Project Bluebeam (be ready to hear more and more ‘alien talk’ & watch your local skies for the show!)
Just in time for 2012! After decades of conditioning, billions will fall for it. Will you?
    (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)
    >Revelation 13:16-18 Trying to make people first accept the REAL ID card (to get you in the system) and then right after forcibly implanting people with these RFID microchips- the coming ‘answer’ to the world economic crisis:
    >The start of the North American Union and true globalization..
    >Push to attack Iran which will start WW3-the atomic war to end all wars. (If you think China, Russia, and the Muslim world would just sit back, you are a mistaken fool!). Escalation of the Georgian/Russian; Israeli/Palestinian; & Indian/Pakistani conflicts.
    >Final push to one world government: The New World Order- The 4th Reich! (The brutal final empire foreseen by the prophet Daniel and John the Revelator)
    >Rise of a miraculous and awe inspiring world leader later to turn world dictator.
    >Push to one world religion where there are “many ways to God”.
    >Toleration of everything but Jews and Christians.
    >Temporary and unheard of “peace in the middle east”.
    >More world wide food shortages and famines.
    >More earth quakes. More fires. Strange and severe weather.
    >Major spiritual awakenings.
    >Rise of Islamic fanaticism.
    >Rise in wickedness and corruption.
    >Take a few minutes to listen to what this young child uncovered:
Christians look forward to this as it means they will soon join their Saviour & Redeemer in the Millennial Kingdom of the next Age and their Heavenly Father later as “Children of Light”. If you try to equate 2012 with Y2K or some other date that cried wolf, then you will be making the worst mistake of your lifetime. Research all these things FOR YOURSELF!

  10. There are soooo many of Nostradamus’s quatrains, and all of them are extremely vague and not exactly straight to the point (not forgetting mostly mistranslated), so there will be many that will seem to have come true, and many more will, but only because of infinite variety of occurrences that will happen one way or another over the passing of time, and the wide & open meanings and interpretations of what Nostradamus has said.

  11. Have you noticed that these so-called prophecies are ‘true’ only after the event.
The guy wrote them so vague that any clown can contrive to make events fit at least one of them. And clowns do this. And duller clowns believe them.
If Nostradamus was so clever, why couldn’t he write clearly. Like, ‘On 1 September 1939, a man named Adolf Hitler will send his troops into Poland, which will cause a World War.’ Oh no, he can’t do that. Did he give next Saturday’s lottery results? Did he hell. No damn use to man nor beast.
So, are they real or fake? They’re just crap.
