What do fundamentalists who like star wars have to say to that?

  1. Do you know anything about the Jedi religion. That is the most obvious thing. Of course. Did you really need to look that up.

  2. I knew that
It’s actually a plot stolen from a film by japanese director Akira Kurosawa
    George Lucas said so.

  3. I say, It’s a movie and just for fun. I don’t live my life by the principles of the Star Wars Universe, but it’s fun to watch.

  4. Fundamentalist what? Lucas based the droids on characters from a samurai flick, the opening scrolling text was taken from Flash Gordon serials, he used battleship model kits to make the Death Star, used electric shavers as communication devices, so on and so forth. I don’t know who you are trying to rile up or prove a point to. Lucas had lots of influences: Westerns, the Arthurian legends, once again so on and so forth. Are you saying Christan’s can’t enjoy Star Wars? That’s just dumb. Whatever…
Star Wars is not “based” on any specific religion, time period or legend. Lucas wanted to use all of the myth he enjoyed to tell a story about good and evil. It’s a story that was told many times in many cultures.

  5. Dark and light good and bad are not solely concepts of Taoism. If there is a heaven there must be a hell. Good shall inherit the earth…. all societies have concepts of good and bad.
