would it make a good martials arts

Speed it up, make sure you have a very accurate knowledge of the foot work, where your weight is distributed, and how to use the legs for the power, and you have one of the most devastating martial arts known to man. You cannot know the power of the internal martial arts unless you find a teacher who can teach combat applications. Everything from striking to wrestling to Chin Na is in those eight circles.
